My big contribution to the 'Let's price ALL the things' festival of sorts.
Current owner says he paid 11 mixed. He's lying.
SALES:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19710773 Sold for Ghosts Beak (8) + 1 pure
(8 * 0.9) + 1 = 8.2
Histories:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,2621302278,315,5

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19579662 Sold for Anti-Freeze YWN (8.3)
8.3 * 0.9 = 7.47 (rounding to 7.5)

Let it ride.
You dont have any proof that that's not what the current owner paid, all you have is proof of at least some of the things he did pay. Contact the owner or the previous owner and confirm before you claim someone is lying. For all you know, they could have included paypal. Downvote for now.
Except you could say that about every sale, ever, that's ever happened, in the history of trading, ever. If paypal were involved both traders would be highly involved with steamrep, which neither are. In my 170 suggestions it's never been relevant and isn't going to start being relevant now.
I believe he's basing his '11 mixed' statement on the Beak sale having a B/O of 10. It's worth 8. It was, either way, intended as a humorous little jibe.
Downvote your comment for now.
I think what Mutiny is trying to say is we've been seeing a lot of TF2Outpost Item Histories as "proof" lately. However, this doesn't actually give us a very good idea of the trade since no prices were "agreed upon" on the item trade, or even ALL items that were included in the trade. More times than I can count, a deal has changed from initial offer, to the time we complete the trade. Backpack.tf backpack histories, or contacting the original owners, is the proper way to establish history. However, based on the things that have been passed recently, the community doesn't give a **** about proof, unless it's a hat THEY own.
So imagine it from another's perspective. If this hat was in your backpack right now, do you think that outpost item histories suffice for "sales"? Do you think there is ever a chance that the sale might have consisted of other items? If you can answer yes to either of those questions, then we need to re-think how future suggestions are made.
