Total is 3.74 Buds Minus Sola Topi which is 1.08 Buds = 2.66 Buds. C9 Snaggletooth which is 3.87 Buds Minus 2.66 Buds = 1.21 Buds.

i don't understand the last equation still. break it down a bit? why is the sola topi 1.08 buds, and why is the thing you're solving for (i.e. the topi) on both sides of this equation?

I was solving for what the Topi itself sold for because other unusuals were used. The total of what I paid was 3.74 Buds. The Sola Topi with overpay being applied came to a total of 1.08 Buds. I took all of what I paid and subtracted the Topi from it, showing the price that the Topi sold for separately. The I took the C9 Snaggletooth's Price and subtracted the total of my items after the Topi was subracted. Giving me a total of 1.21 Buds which is what the Topi itself sold for.

I'm kinda not sure if I messed up on something. :/

how can you use the topi to work out what the topi is worth? you have no starting value for it because there is no valid backpack valuation for it because if there was you wouldn't be updating the price.

or more simply, topi + stuff = snaggle, so all we need is topi = snaggle - stuff

C9 snaggle is insanely outdated anyway, smh come on mate. i'll work the maths through for the sake of an example but this sale ain't valid, and now I have to check your others. unusuals you use can't be outdated prices, unless you can provide a minisuggestion or update those prices yourself.

so the snaggle is priced at 4.3. let's assume we need to calculate overpay for your side of the offer since that makes most sense given you adding all that random stuff. stuff = 1.8 + 0.8 + under a key of stuff (relatively unimportant) = ~2.5. therefore, we should take 2.5 from 4.3 (snaggle - stuff) and we get 1.8 for the topi, after overpay (1.8*0.9) we get 1.6. this is why we don't use prices from 10 months ago as the snaggle is clearly way overpriced, but that's how you do this very simple bit of maths.
