Total: ~ 7 buds - B/O was 4 pure.
Thanks again for everyone being so helpful.
Sale #2 is not clear so mostly is an outlier
Agreed, this is why I used the pure B/O as the high-end per the rules.
As to why I used the B/O for the high-end, please refer to: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-new-unusual-price-suggestion-guide-the-cheat-sheet/ (Part 2. The essence of overpay)
Understand, when this guide refers to not using B/Os to set prices, it refers to B/Os posted on sales that have not completed - this is an actual sale, therefore it can be used as proof.
May i ask where the 4 buds came from?
Edit: i know where it came from but i'm sure that your not allowed to use the B/o as a price
The rules say you're not allowed to price anything higher than the pure B/O, however in this sale the B/O was met and exceeded, therefore the only logical price for this sale is the B/O.
The problem is that we are not 100% guaranteed for sure was B/O really for 4 buds pure or not? In case of outlier overpay in items was payed.
In http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-new-unusual-price-suggestion-guide-the-cheat-sheet/ under "Setting a range" it states "High End: Set the high end no higher than common b/o's and bounded by the high end sales and offers." in the case of both sales posted above the B/O was stated on the trade as 60 keys/4 buds.
As seller stated his B/O was to wade out lowballers, that's I'm talking about, we are not sure is it was REAL B/O offer or not?
There's no way to surmise what was in the seller's head, all we know are the facts: He posted a sale to the public to offer and view and set a B/O accordingly. Again, both trades above used the same B/O...therefore it is a "common" B/O. Those be the facts.
Ok, upvote from me
Thanks for asking the right questions to help me explain.
The second sale is an outlier and should not be factored in.
Can you say why?
Someone paid him 7. His b/o was 4. He way overpaid = outlier. If you can find another sale at 4 or show multiple offers >3 to demonstrate that 4 isn't an outlier, the range of 3-4 will be fine.
It looks like this http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/20034097 sold for http://backpack.tf/item/2264605766 (Aus FJ) http://backpack.tf/item/1887019714 http://backpack.tf/item/2102493554 which would be about 3.5 (toe is outdated though)
Do you think I should use this if I do a mini-suggestion for the toe?
yes, and take that sale and the 50 key sale
And just disregard the 7 bud sale?
Unless you have several offers around 4 or another sale at 4
that's about i told before ^^^
b/o offer for 4 buds looks unclear and seems an outlier
Recent offer over 3 buds: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14159521 was offered an Aces High War Pig (http://backpack.tf/item/2545254562) if seller added sweets. 7 day old price on War Pig (3.75 * 0.9 = 3.4 buds)
