Now that I've sold mine, I can make this suggestion without conflict of interest.

It is mind-numbingly easy to sell this thing for 1.1 buds, and selling it for 1.3 is also pretty easy, but I'm leaving it in the range because sellers at that price aren't that hard to find. My sale and the 36 key offer indicate that 1.5 buds (27 keys) does happen, even if the 36 key offer and my sale are outliers.
Surely some of my proof will have sold by the time I post this, turning them into valid quicksales.
Surely there are duplicates.
do you have proof for 1.3 buds :< (sales)
Do I need proof for 1.3 buds? Sales are hard to find, offers aren't. People regularly offer 24 keys (1.33 buds) and their offers are denied by trade owners. To prove a raise in the price, I need to prove that buyers are willing to pay that much, which I have in my offers section.
eh I don't think you can base your low end on offers though, and yes you'd need proof of 1.3 buds to include it as the low end of your range
My proof demonstrates that:
It is very easy to sell for less than 1.3
It is very easy to buy for more than 1.5.
That's all I need to prove. I don't need any particular kind of proof to do so, I just need to prove it.
No one wants to sell for less than 1.3
No one wants to buy for more than 1.5.
They both contradict each other.
If that is true, then one of the following is also true:
Backpack.tf has no business pricing this, or
My suggestion is totally right.
0/10 fail troll.
If you believe me to be trolling, then please re-explain your statement. I don't understand how that could possibly indicate that I'm wrong.
Okay, yes, you can sell stuff for less than 1.3. But that's entirely based on your buyers, and let's face it, they'll always be buying below what the item is actually worth.
Yes, you can buy for more than 1.5. But why do that when the value is said to be lower? Why would people buy for higher than the indicated value?
Buyers buy for less than what an item is worth. My buyers are buying for the old price, indicating that the old price is too low, because they'll always be buying below what the item is actually worth.
It's easy to buy for more than 1.5 because there are plenty of sellers below that price. If sellers exist below that price, then why would you pay more?
I still don't understand how this proves that its worth 1.1 - 1.2 buds.
It doesn't prove it's 1.1 - 1.2. I just don't believe that the range you're trying to prove now reflects the market accurately enough.
Then copy-paste my proof into another suggestion, or get your own proof. I was uncertain about this, which is why it's a range.
Some of my bookmarks have sold lately, so here you complainers go.
Note: My original post assumed 18 keys = 1 bud. Didn't expect buds to rise so quickly.
This post assumes 18.5 keys = 1 bud. Feel free to copy - paste all my proof into one post with more accurate math for todays prices.
SOLDS:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21105425 - 29 keys (1.57 buds)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21095975 - 25 keys (1.35 buds)
