I've actually seen a good bit of traffic at well under 8.55. I bought one for 8 refined pretty recently, I'll try to provide a screen shot

Way too easy to buy them at 8.44, bots started buying keys for 8.22-8.33.

I bought 2 for 5.33 (should i provide proof?)

Also maybe more sellers at 8.44 or lower ?

SCRAP.TF Has 545 keys availible at the time of posting, meaning they bought 545 keys at 8.33, and are unable to sell at 8.55

Very good point, I will have to remember this for any other key suggestions! (or hats, weps, stranges or anything else scrap.tf sells)

At the current time of posting, scrap.tf has 486 keys, and is still using 8.33-8.55 as the price range, indicating that they were able to sell 59 keys at 8.55 since you posted.

= 6.5 keys per hour sold at 8.55

Low for scrap.tf it seems.

I didn't mean to imply anything. I'm terrible at interpreting facts, but not so much at determining which ones are useful. That's why I've only had 1 price suggestion despite my many posts under other trades.

I have not had any problems finding people sell from the 8.33 to 8.55 range in the last week and a half. I'll try to locate my screenies of them.

It is still sellable for 8.55 but it takes a longer time, 8.44 goes fairly fast, 8.44-8.55 seems like the ideal price range for keys atm, upvote

Word of advice.

It's a key suggestion - on average there's about 60% of people who upvote. That's screamingly smaller than most other item suggestions. Don't let the negativity here throw you off :P

It's weird, keys going higher 60%, keys going lower 60%, what do people want? All I see are people complaining about key prices and how high they are but then downvote the suggestion.

Any logical explains about this drop?

Last drop, we all know that keys were dropping because of Bread Boxes, but now Bread Boxes are expired and keys are still dropping?

Most likely could be because of massive increase in supply.

We always know that keys have huge supply but it didn't stop them rising before Bread Box Hype. After the Hype, everything changed, buds go up, keys go down so the huge supply theory doesn't sound right to me.

I think the stockpile crate key might have something to do with this. It draw attention the other way for a brief time

Not saying it the thing but it had some effect. At least with me. I had to sell keys if I wanted to get the new key or buy new items from stockpile crate. With the Steam sale draining my wallet I sure wasn't gonna buy stockpile crate keys in store. And when prices on new items started dropping metal sure was the thing to have. Sometimes it took me surprisingly long to sell a key for 8,55.

I think people expected them to start dropping as fast as they were rising at some point. so as soon as they took a dip, people panicked and started lowering their prices to get out before they completely tanked.

Tell me, was there a logical explanation about increasing the value of key ? No ? So we don't need to provide one here, as only proofs counts. In the time where keys were increasing, people gave multiple explanation of why it should drop, and nobody listened to them, because they didn't have proofs. Now we have those "proofs", so we don't need to justify ourselves.

Even if my comment was rude, I didn't mean to start a conflict.

Techincally there was a bunch of logical explanations as to why keys were increasing in value. They (versus refined) have a higher demand and a lower supply than refined. Because metal comes from idling, even f2ps would get refined, whereas keys could only be "created" by buying them from the mann co store. Sure, you can buy them from the SCM but it doesnt increase supply. Also, refined had a low demand because crafting with it wasn't profitable. If you crafted 3 refined for a hat you would probably get a 1.33 hat or something. Its cheaper to craft a hat with two 1.33 hats (2.66) and since these hats probably came from drops metal wasn't getting used, while keys are used for unboxing, and because UNUSUAL!!!! sorry if i strain your eyes while reading this

Welp, we are finally seeing it. Keys are dropping. Even if it is slow, maybe we'll see them become stable. Admittedly, they have been at 8.55 flat for 20 days at time of posting, which is huge. Lots of proof has been added in the comments, and with the proof provided, I have to say yes. 8.44 is totally possible.

Anyways, I don't have any links because I'm lazy, but I have noticed a drop in prices recently. I was on a trade server and this guy was trying to sell keys for 7.66 and couldn't get any buyers, so maybe the times are a-changin'.
