Let it ride.

    no misc hype?

Apparently not. I hadn't heard any hype on the Antlers anyway. The Rack, at least, has the advantage of not clipping with every hat ever.

I may just be salty and trying to defend my own items,

But those sales are just two individual sales of over 17 recorded instances of that item, both more than two months ago each and as such should not be considered valid as those trades have simply happened too long ago.

My personal sale was directly after the Pyromancer's became a misc and as such were ludicrously pumped up and in demand, and hadn't received the backpack.tf listed price until almost an entire month after the trade had transpired, leaving one to assume the invalidity of using an official price that had not even been placed on the item at the time of the sale.

And looking back at the previous accepted price suggestion for miami antlers, There are several antler still in circulation, Most also haven't exchanged owners over the course of less than two months.

      >Most also haven't exchanged owners over the course of less than two months.

Hence why this is valid proof.

And you don't 'have' to defend your own items, I've dropped the value of my own hats before in the interest of accuracy.

The Mask value is fine. That price is BASED on the misc-hype. Anyone who thinks a TW Mancer, even at the peak of hype, was worth more than 6.5, is deluding themselves.

The timeframe for valid sales is three months.

You are, simply put, JUST being salty here.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/20670997 Sold for DP Dread Hood (6.8)

      6.8 * 0.9 = 6.12 (rounding to 6.1)

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18719365 Sold for DBD Wet Works (2.2) + Smoking KE (3.7) + Smoking Pith (16.5 keys, = 0.86 buds)

      (2.2 + 3.7 + 0.86) * 0.9 = 6.084 (rounding to 6.1)

Two more sales inside my range.

I have the ground here, even, to call your Mancer sale an OUTLIER.

But I won't. Because I think 6-6.5 is close enough to the correct price.

But maybe you should do some research of your own before you blindly jump into manipulating the price of your own unusual.

You yourself have gotten no offers higher than 5, having owned the damn things for over two months.

Granted I'm a terribly shitty salesperson, "Manipulating" is a heavy accusation, I am simply stating that the trades in question, my own, may have for that time, been inaccurate, being just a day or two after the initial change of the equip region, and having happened an entire month before the price could have stabilized and be accepted as valid on backpack.tf.

Granted the fact that you seem to do a lot of moderating of virtual items and their prices for whatever reason that might be beyond that one should probably be getting paid for it at this point, I was simply asserting the fact that outlying information should be accounted for as the situation needs it.

Research or no. I still believe that while an item, whether it having been priced at the time of sale or not, Should still be considered as artificially inflated for the period of sale. Enough so that the person who would have offered it would have "in their right mind" considered them of being equal value at some point in time.

We gettin' into the salt mines now.

Sorry if you disagree with me, but you seem to know what you're doing anyhow.

If the Mancer's sale was any higher, as you suggest, it would be a high-end outlier based on the other three sales I've shown.

I don't mean to do this out of spite, I hope you realise.

I know what it's like for an unusual I own to have it's price dropped. Repeatedly.

I bought in when it was 11-12.3, six months ago. Now? It's 3.5. I jumped off that ship like it'd been hit by and iceberg, still lost about 6 buds.

I don't personally disagree with you, but the evidence does. Only reason I updated this AT ALL is because I was pricing the Time Warp Titanium Pillar.

If you want to add me and discuss this further, feel free.

            Just business, etc. etc.

I am confused however as to why my trade of a 6.5 bud valued hat was not accounted as overpay, however the next one was docked 0.9 despite being the same price as well as also being a 1;1 trade.

I also mildly disagree with your clipping comment above and will continue to stay on the ship even if a bud flies off errantly as I still think it looks quite nice besides and is still a strong contender for becoming a misc. (http://puu.sh/aqjzz.png)

Thanks for responding, guy. Have a good one and good luck with any future suggestions.

Your trade wasn't docked because YOU offered the antlers, so no unusual overpay is applied.

I do think this hat looks good. Hell, I love Miami as an effect, in a vacuum, but it's just not a justifiable decision at the moment from a monetary standpoint. In my humblest of opinions.

And thankyou for being quite so rational about this. Most comments I get from owners are just 'HURR DURR U ASSHAT DIS IS 10 BUD HET'. It's quite refreshing to be able to actually DISCUSS something with an owner.

A bud hit isn't toooooo bad for a summer effect anyway, take a look at what I did to the Miami Reggaelator... or the KaW Tyrants. Yikes.

You have a good one too ;)
