Well, since I bought it, I thought I would get the suggestion right.
To clear things up, the sale needs no overpay since he offered it on my hats.
Image: http://imgur.com/JDFOlLL
What I bought it for:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/20975684
DBD Lucky Shot - 5.4
Green Energy Ol' Snaggletooth - 2.2
Sweets(6 keys pure, #46 dread riding hood, 2 refined, graybanns, villains veil) = 10 Keys
He added a sunbeams hetmans- 2.2
Although outdated, the previous owner bought it for a Cloudy Moon Conjurors Cowl(~10) the other person added Sunbeams Hetman(2.2) and a Electrostatic base metal billycock(1)
=
~6.8
Some offers on my trade : http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/20988971#latest
Hearts Ze Goggles+G.Energy Frenchman's Beret+Power Surge Pencil Pusher(10)- Too late, already sold the hats
Duped Burning Fez+small sweets(8) = .9*8 = 7.2
Aces High Killers Exclusive+a bud(9) = .9*9= 8.1
Flaming Lantern Bonk Boy = 6.75
Knifestorm Buccanear+Smoking Headwarmer= ???
Buccanear is outdated
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/20971904 - his b/o was 4.3 buds (bp.tf price) before but he bought it from a scammer it seems, anyways the sale shouldnt be used (you valued it at 6.8).
Did you both value the snaggle and the hetmans equally or what was the deal? Tell me more then I will help you finding a better price. :P
We valued the snaggle at 2.5 and the hetmans at 2. But according to bp.tf they were very similar in price.
Well but both prices are outdated for like a year. So he added 0.5 buds in sweets to make up the difference between those two hats? That means basically 1:1 with the lucky?
I added the sweets
Ups yeah I meant that. So it was 1:1 with the lucky in the end?
Uh, not really, I had the snaggle(2.2) sweets(.5) while he added the hetmans(2.2)
Oh right wrong direction again, so in the end it was lucky shot + 0.5. But both the hetmans and the snaggle (which is duped on top) have way too old prices to use. Would be nice if you could show that they are still worth that much.
range seems a bit too big, 8 comes from no where,
Well the 8 is mostly from offers I've gotten.
Offers don't count...
Well, if I bought it for 6 and I'm getting offers of 8, It wouldn't really make sense if it was worth just 6
Yes. Yes they do. But his only offer of 8 is an outdated 3rd gen hat which isn't valid and he'll need to fix his range.
Aces KE is outdated?
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21096715 - B/o 7 buds
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21070655 - B/o 7 buds
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21511434 - B/o - 7 buds
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21246796 - B/o - 6.5 buds
Severely outdated, not to mention some of your applied overpay is incorrect.
Well, since it seems that I'm incompetent at making price suggestions, could you use some of this proof and make a better one?
Much too lazy for that, try the forums.
Yeah, can't have a range off of one non-outdated sale.
Copy pasted from your previous closed suggestion.
"This is a 4 hats trade meaning that this is a complex sale. Complex sale should not be used for hats < 10 buds."
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-new-unusual-price-suggestion-guide-the-cheat-sheet/
A note about complex sales
Multi-hat trades involving 4 or more hats should be avoided when pricing unusuals unless the suggestion is for a high end hat (worth >10 buds). Basically, if a hat is a small piece in a large deal, that sale should not be used as proof.
if u get more good proof i will up vote in till then im down voting
