Suggestion: Refined Metal at $0.23–$0.25

I feel that Refined should stay the same price that it is now. I'm not so concerned about Refined as I am with Keys. Assuming that Refined prices will stay the same, that means that Keys should go up in price as well. It's simple math that apparently a lot of people don't care about.

This makes no sense, if you divide the price of a key by the amount of ref you get ref valued at 30 cents not 25 cents. If key prices go down, then ref prices must go up or else the whole tf2 trading will go to shit.

On this website, prices are determined by supply and demand, not what may be best (in someone's opinion) for the Mannconomy. Key & ref prices do not exist in tandem, and they don't always exist in harmony, either. If the proof says they both fall, then they both fall. Go deflation!

Then you have obviously never taken a simple economy class before. How can you trade someone ref that doesn't even amount to the value of their key in USD? It makes absolutely no sense.

I'm not saying it's wise. I'm just saying it's happening. I personally don't sell my ref for USD, so I don't care that much either way. But as far as proof goes, I'm upvoting.

It actually comes out to about $0.245, keys being $1.99 / 8.11 refined each = 0.2453 ≈ $0.245.

I think it's mostly due to the steam market with that. People sell for 2 dollars there generally (which leaves it at a total cost of $2.30 I believe) which the makes ref only 25 cents

Still have no idea how 2 sales at $0.25 could ruin your pervious suggestion (to me, It was more accurate as we record the most commonly traded price).

The pretty clear counterpoint to this statement is that keys are falling rapidly in refined.

Going from 8.33 to 8.00 in just over a week means a 4% increase in value if keys are relatively consistent in dollars (based on steam market, demand remains pretty strong). That means that several-week-old sales are not going to accurately reflect pricing. Look back through the $0.23 sellers again (or wait ten minutes while I do) and see if they're still selling.

Summary: Almost all $0.23 sellers with an update in the last week have raised their price, except for one, who has dropped it to $0.22 (might be iffy trader, but might just be outlier). Another couple have switched to bitcoin-only, not sure how that affects pricing relative to paypal.

Not sure exactly what to make of this as far as actual voting, honestly, but I went through it all, so consider it an evidence update whichever way you want to interpret it.

Please read my conclusion and adds. It explains everything you need to know. You can't expect a trade to stay open for eternity and have unlimited supply. Many are from my 1st suggestion on this, many are new and many are still selling. I provided all.

Also, you can't deny the fact that you can get it quite easily for $.23

Good job on going through the "evidence" and briefly explaining how 50% of it is no longer valid as they are closed. 1month+ old, or have raised their price. Theres even a link in the "sales" part which is actually a buyer....
