That implies I did not get it for a splendid deal whereas I've had offers for hats with nearly double that.

Oh dear, I was referring to the offers I was sent via friend requests and trade offers not the posted description offers, my trades do clearly state "ADD TO TRADE"

Your doubting existence or not of a previous hat trades are irrelevant, this hat is worth more than bp.tf lists it.

I'm agree on that point, as this retired hat is really outdated, but doesn't deserve the range you suggested.

You need a lot of proof of SALES for raising a price

A proof of sale is hard to come by now when it is 1 of 3 on outpost; people need to vote on the hat being at a value that is in agreement with the trades it receives, otherwise the market is just off-whack.

You have to check the histories of the hat, I found at least 4-5 different sales the last 3 months using the histories.

Moreover, you can check the previous suggestions made about this hat, you'll find some hats which aren't on outpost, which can bring new histories to dig into ;)
