In the case of the hat being priced being sold alongside another hat and there's no clear indication of who offered I will apply overpay to the other parties item but not to the hats accompanying the hat being priced. There's no sense in applying overpay to both parties items and even less sense in trying to work out reverse overpay on an item getting a new price.

The glove was offered to me on my Smoking Shako (~1 bud, 10 months outdated price)

I offered my Shako on this glove but was rejected. It sold for a Dead Presidents bombing Run and the new Glove owner contacted me almost immediately after the sale. BR sale is invalid to use here as it was used to update the BR's price.
