Well it's been in the game since June of 2013, but it's corresponding action figure hasn't been on sale until recently.

You buy the NECA Engineer action figure from the Valve store or elsewhere and you get a code for either this or the Genuine Texas Ten Gallon, depending which color you buy. (RED or BLU)

I checked there and I didn't see it so I thought there might be some other place stocking it first for whatever reason.

Just to clarify up,

Genuine hats like this, camera beard, backbitter's billycock, texas ten gallon, etc.. were given in a CD key, there are only few in existance.

A few of these were in the game for a while now though. I sold one for 5 keys roughly 2 months ago.

They are becoming more common now though.

This hat is ugly, how is it worth a key?
