This suggestion was marked as bad evidence and closed
by neverclever.
There should always be enough evidence to back up the new proposed value.
However, it appears that the evidence is not strong enough, or cherry-picked
in a way that does not represent the actual market value of the item.
Therefore, this suggestion has been closed.
Message left by moderator:
As other comments have pointed out, most of your 1.66s sold very quickly, and most of your "unsold" 2s also sold fairly easily.
Demand still seems to be there. Without more evidence current price looks fine.

Death to Love and War (Revised)
By the way, can the mods please accept or close my Festive Scattergun suggestion? It's been there for at least a week unchecked
I revised my proof to fit the standards of quality. What this means is that I have removed the badly bumped or invalid trades. Special thanks to cares for helping me with that.
"But you don't need solds to lower the price!"
Yes, I am aware, solds aren't needed to lower the price. However, I am using them to show that these are the prices at which the Snack Attack is mostly commonly sold. As you can see from the valid proof, there are STILL some unsolds at 4 WEEKS. Thus, the price needs a drop. You can't explain why it still hasn't been sold for weeks in some cases, as these are trades regularly bumped. The demand has decreased, and thus, so must the price.
I frequently check backpack.tf's classifieds and outpost for sellers at around 1.66 refined, and I update my proof to show these sellers, therefore, obtaining sellers at ~1.66 refined is not a difficult task.
Keep in mind that I am not eliminating 2 refined from the price, I am keeping it in the range. I am aware that sales do occur once and a while at 2 refined, but I believe 1.66-2 ref is a better range as shown by my proof. Keep in mind this revised proof is that which you have stated is satisfactory.
Your proof is currently comprised of one seller on outpost (1d, sold 1 already, 22 views) and some classifieds screenshots. Sales below the current price do not count and can only be used to counter you.
My counter proof shows 2 ref is still very possible, even 3 never bumped trades sold within 3 days.
I fail to see how sales below the current price counter me. The current price is 2 refined, so essentially what you're saying is that this suggestion is countering my suggestion, which is an absurd notion.
As for those classified screenshots, those were/are relevant when I post them. This link for a seller for 1.66
is relevant, it counts as a seller, as it is valid when I am posting as of August 6, 2014, 9:37 PM Central Time. If I were to post any number of recent sellers from classifieds that are relevant during the time which I post them, they count as sellers, something of which I know for a fact you are aware of. Therefore, dismissing classified screenshots as "relevant" or "not good proof" is illogical.
As for your point that "My counter proof shows 2 ref is still very possible...", I am not denying that 2 ref is possible, however, it isn't very common. My proof shows that there are still people who haven't sold the item in weeks. There is really no reason that should be the case, thus, it needs a slight drop. As stated previously, 2 refined is still in the range. I know it's possible.
And, in closing remarks, to address this statement. "...even 3 never bumped trades sold within 3 days." If you are using umbumped trades as proof (or counter proof, call it what you'd like), then that is 1. hypocritical and 2. bad proof. You pointed out that umbumped trades are bad proof. If you are retracting your statement, and telling me that they are actually good, suitable proof, then my proof-list showing that 2 refined isn't as common a sale point just got a little bit longer.
They are excellent counter proof, if a completely unbumped trade manages to sell within 3 days, does it really need to drop?
Anything below the current price can easily considered a quicksell (in fact I sold one for 1.88 within a day, using the classifieds).
Yet if a regularly bumped trade hasn't sold the item in question for WEEKS, shouldn't the item price go down?
As for your second point, I already addressed it above. Yet I will leave you with this. I am NOT removing 2 refined from the price. I am KEEPING it in the range. 2 ref does occur from time to time, yet not as frequently as 1.66+ does.
This conversation will only continue to go in circles, as you continue to bring up points already answered previously with different wording. Therefore, unless you have something to say left unsaid, I ask that you please refrain from asking the same question again. I suggest that you and I let this suggestion "sit" until the moderators decide what to do with it.
My point is there is no need for the item to even have a range - 2.00 ref sells just fine, anything below sells quickly.
So you only have classified proof now, which is simply not enough. Everything you posted has sold by now (bar some inactive classifieds, maybe), if I'd look through the outpost unsolds again some would've sold too (for sure).
Yet there are people who still haven't sold the item in weeks? Yet that constitutes as "just fine"? You don't understand that I AM NOT ELIMINATING 2 REFINED FROM THE RANGE. I've repeated this time and time again, yet your ignorance blinds you. You see only what you want to see. Again, 2 refined does sell once and a while. I am NOT denying that. However, as my proof has shown, 1.66+ is a better price for the item. Keep using the "Well this guy sold 1 Snack Attack so it has to be a good price" excuse all you'd like, but there are still people who haven't sold the item in weeks.
You can dissect my proof all you'd like, but I will simply get more and prove you wrong. At this point, you are repeating yourself, and reusing excuses which have proven to be fruitless.
If 2.00 sells just fine, why are you selling one for 1.77? 0_o
It's called quickselling, anyway I sold 1 @ 2 ref and 1 @ 1.77 within an hour on tf2op
You don't make a whole lot of sense, you know that? :P
Edit: This Bread hype has gotten me 6 keys and it wont stop me!
He only pointed out sellers for 1.66 that sold and a few unbumped trades. Finding sellers for 1.66 on outpost isn't rare. And this range isn't limited exclusively to 1.66 ref, there are sellers for 1.88 and 1.77 you can find. 1.66 is most common, while there are a lot of unsold 2 ref trades.
By the way, did you know that cares fought me tooth and claw against the Bread Bites suggestion? That turned out to be accepted. Just thought I'd let you know
If it isn't rare, where's your proof? Being lazy now?
Where's my proof? Did the "Sellers/sold for 1.66 ref" confuse you buddy?
and i dont care much that you put the bread bite down cause i sell them Ez for 1 ref
It's a downvote from me. You don't have much proof for your low end at all, especially after what cares said. Methinks there are so many 2 ref unsolds because everyone sells at 2 ref -- that's just the appropriate price.
I have at least seven links supporting 1.66 refined, not to mention various sellers for below that price. I am also adding more proof as I find it.
I would also like to point out that cares actually ended up helping me, by proving that some of my 1.66 refined links sold. There are only two cases in which that is not necessarily the case, and that is when the trades are unbumped.
I would also like to mention that the unsolds are a pretty big part of my proof that I feel you aren't exactly recognizing. Not trying to start a flame ware, just notifying you The unsolds signify that 2 ref is a price that not many people are really buying for, as the demand decreases/is decreasing, and less and less people are willing to buy for 2 refined.
"I would also like to point out that cares actually ended up helping me, by proving that some of my 1.66 refined links sold."
Hopefully you know that you need sellers and not sales if you are decreasing the price. Your volume of sellers is low below the current range.
I am aware that I do not need solds, see my wall of proof above.
I am using the sellers who sell the Snack Attack at a lower price to help show that 1.66 is a good point.
Because quicksells totally should dictate the market.
That's not what I said, did I? The lower priced sales are used to help aid my focal point. I'm not using a sale for, say, 1 scrap for a Snack Attack to drop the price am I?
More classified sellers, there's even a guy selling for 1.33 ref. I did however, forget to include the 1.88 seller
One 1.77 sold incredibly quickly, 1 ref is a clear outlier and forgot to close their trade.
I am the second seller at 1.66 and i have to agree with felix. I have sold 7 so far and have seen the steady decline in price over the last week. I sold 4 at 2 ref and and the rest at 1.66 and 1.77. Reason price is going down is cos medium demand with high supply. Bear in mind that i sold them at 2 ref within 8 hours of posting and i currently haven't sold the snacks after 12 hours at 1.66. On the other hand bread bites are selling within the first few hours of posting.
I highlighted cares' name in the 1.77+ link because he was providing the counter proof for this item, yet he is selling it for under 1.77 refined. Yet he claims the Snack Attack does not need a drop.
He is selling it for 1.77 because he is making profit like i do he buys them for 1.11 and sells for 1.77 it dosent take that long to sell the drop is not needed

The current price is 2 refined, so essentially what you're saying is that this suggestion is countering my suggestion, which is an absurd notion.

is relevant, it counts as a seller, as it is valid when I am posting as of August 6, 2014, 9:37 PM Central Time.
Your only outpost seller finished selling his second snack attack (12 hours ago), btw. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21761175
Classifieds is a race for the lowest price
found myself in the proof! :D
oh wait, I own one... D:
That's a completely unecessary comment.

Saving my bread factory
Staying Neutral on what cares said
Edit: This Bread hype has gotten me 6 keys and it wont stop me!

More sellers ranging from 1.55 to 1.88

1.55 sold incredibly quickly
actually, my classified listing wasn't bumped very well, and I just sold it now, but I don't know how to screen shot it.

I sold mine for 2 ref

I highlighted cares' name in the 1.77+ link because he was providing the counter proof for this item, yet he is selling it for under 1.77 refined. Yet he claims the Snack Attack does not need a drop.
He is selling it for 1.77 because he is making profit like i do he buys them for 1.11 and sells for 1.77 it dosent take that long to sell the drop is not needed
Btw care sold 2
