Well, it's because they are expensive because the amount of these left will only go down if people unbox them, and they are currently unobtainable so most people buy them as an investment instead of wanting to unbox them

An investment that will probably end up nowhere...... there might be some crate collectors that wanna keep a breadbox forever but really how many of them are out there?

I feel like this is a risk that at the point of it's peak price, no one will buy it unless they think investing on a box is going to save them.

I realize TF2 trading isn't logic driven, but surely this will go down soon? The only unboxable item worth more than the crate itself is the S. Snack Attack (God forbid you unbox a worthless unique variant worth worth like 1 - 2 ref).

It could, but at the same time, its a consumable, kind of like a key. But unlike a key, they can't be made again.

Never heard of crates being used as a currency itself (never even considered that honestly) . Although you're definitely right about the investing part.

I think the crazy thing to wrap your head around is his stock is over ONE HUNDRED of the boxes. If he crafted all of them himself back when they were worth 5 ref, that's a 2.8 key profit each, so nearly 15 buds made in value gained. Nuts.

This is stupid. So many bread boxes are out there and yet there 3 keys already and your asking 4 keys now its actually fucked up

There are 7,632 Bread Boxes, (compared to over 80,000 earbuds and over 10,000 max heads), 3 keys is a near quicksell already and there are successful sales at 4 keys

Difference is, buds and max heads are visuals cosmetics and have been established into currency value items for a while now. Bread boxes in essence are "crates" that don't give unusuals or particularly anything useful lol. I'm not against it, people pay for what they pay for. Let the bread RISE!!!
