Only two recent sales, three month old proof is fine.
based on what your saying, you could compare it to anything else, if someone bought something, err no, not someone, a few different people bought something and they all paid around the same price, and never resold it again, does that mean it shouldnt be valued at what the average price is of what they bought it for? if so, thats not fair, not at all actually. also, if this did apply, a burning KE wouldnt have gotten priced at 300 buds if vo0 didnt pay 300 buds for it.
The accepted price was made over a year ago (the person who got that price even uploaded proof that was 3 weeks old), which gives my proof a better time frame. There hasn't been any sellers or solds besides this on outpost (there's a second seller be he's trying to sell this item with a set). Unless you could find another recent sold of this item, these are the closest I got.
Also @ MaGenta, technically its 2 months or around there.

Editing out the seller's name isn't necessary, we still have to know who sold you it (plus, his name is Yellow, there's so many people named yellow).
Also, the fact its the same trade from Classifieds and you recently wanted to trade for the item 20 min after this suggestion was posted. What was the real reason why you would want this item since it can't be used for anything?

Logging in to TF2 deleted this item. However, after 2013 patch, it exists in backpack. Also tradable.

Alright, makes sense. However this item has no use nowadays, so why increase the price!
For collectors, I guess :)
If marketing logic still applies, since the item is discontinued/no longer obtainable, this makes the item's rarity increase. Its just like the Bread Box, its no longer craftable and there's now only a limited number of them throughout the world. With only limited numbers out there, collectors that want to save these items in their backpack forever are willing to pay more to get it.
Like you said, this Burned Banana Peel "has no use nowadays", which is why its value is really low but the price for it is raising since there's only a handful of people that own them and they're impossible to get.

I would have used that but there was something off that didn't make it seem like proof.
He was only selling the Burned Banana Peel as a complete set, not selling individually. He was only selling certain ones by itself.
However, the person named "Rino" was able to get the item by itself...but at what price? I tried contacting both of them but neither replied back. Without knowing how much he got it for, I couldn't use that trade as proof.
