I'm selling 3.33, and in trade server, it's hard to sell with 3.33. I think that 3.33-3.44 will be a good price for a few time and we will have change the price again. 3.33 you can find a lot and it's not sell but you can't find less. You could never find someone who sold a ToD 3.66, even 3.55. ToD Banking is now hard because the prices are higher that they were supposed to be. Also, hope you think that my idea was good ^^

Hope that is enough proofs

3.33 is quickselling.

These are going down in price, as keys go down too.. Most traders were doing 2:1 Tour of Duty Ticket for Keys so...

I get a few 2:1 deals a week, which going by your logic would put the value of a ticket at around 3.7

    It's just not good logic.

This isn't even close, but I do think that 3.66 is getting increasingly difficult and the market is being flooded with bulk sellers at 3.33. I have no idea where they are getting their tickets from.

      Mann co store, duh.

No, maybe they got a seller for 3.11 or 3.22. That's banking ^^

        Duh

          ಠ_ಠ

ToD Tickets are ideal for money-to-metal conversion, because they're currently the most cost effective. They're the most in-demand of non-key items, and have a higher dollar-to-metal rate than keys, at $0.99 : ~3.44. Keys, meanwhile, are $2.49 : ~2.8.

This is where the market for ToD Tickets comes from. Hell, even the tickets on the community market can end up selling for more than the ones in the store. (Currently: Tickets are 1.07, 8 cents more than on the store, even if only because of Valve's share added.)

Also, pretty sure nobody banks for 3.11 or 3.22.

So why are they selling 3.33 ^^

Keys are currently dropping, which is the (indirect) cause of the ToD tickets' drop. ToD tickets have been indirectly linked to keys for a while now. Like I said earlier, to make a profit, tickets need to be more polite efficient than keys. If tickets are still worth 3.44 but keys are dropping/metal is rising, why would people buy ToD tickets? 2inefficient. /convoluted circular logic

Two tickets for a key has been a very common deal, even if it's a pretty bad one. In any case, I think 3.44-3.55 might be a better range.

I'm drunk, you don't have an excuse

The price can't be 3.55 if the people are selling for less

It can, actually. That's what a price range is. Obviously it wouldn't be, practically speaking- who would buy at 3.55 when you get 3.44? But sales still happen, and suggestions reflect the market, not just logic.

No, it can't. The price must be the price people sell the item [ except quicksells ]. If the price still 3.55, 3.33 will count as a quicksell, even if it isn't

If I understand you correctly, then by your definition, a range is a self-contradiction.

Like I said, the market price is determined by the majority of sellers. backpack.tf reflects this market price- it does not dictate it.

Quicksells are inherently lower than the set price of a given site's price spreadsheet, so if you call lower-end sales "quicksales," then a price can never be lowered. I'm not saying the price of these tickets shouldn't be lowered, or that sales at either 3.33 or at 3.55 are impossible. Just further defining quicksells.

tl;dr Sales below market price aren't always quicksells. If there's enough of them, I would consider the sale at that price to be the actual price.

I respect your opinion, but i don't have the same

I respect your opinion, and your respect of my opinion. BTW I'm not the one who downvoted your comment. Thanks for not starting a flame war :v

No, Mann Co. Store. Trust me, I'm one of them every now and then.

Range could use some work, would work better as a conservative drop rather than a full 2-3 scrap drop

      Down Vote for now

From the proof provided and the experience I've had with tickets, 3.33 is a quicksell. While 3.44 is the more stable price.

I sell mine 2 for a key or one for 4.33 and have no issues getting buyers

Sold a few the last few days, 2 for a key . Sorry but downvote.

2 for 1 key a lot of people are doing that but one you could never sell it 3.88

2x 3.88 = 7.77. A key is 7.44-7.55 atm and I can easily get them for less so how do you get 3.88?

just now sold 4 tod's for 2 keys, so still possible...

Try to sell one for 3.88.

                    do you even read?

where do you get this 3.88 from?

                      try to sell 3.72 so

I think that is possible. Especiallly in weekends.

If you look at the price during the day you will notice it's going up and down. I assume you're from the Netherlands as well, much items go for a little more at times that we're supposed to sleep.

I'm not from netherlands. Second, i can't sell it 3.33 how will you sell 3.72

If you can't sell it for 3.33 I understand it seems ridiculous to you. 3.33 = sold within an hour

Just by reading the front part, I almost downvoted. Just by reading the rest of it, I downvoted.

nope. sold 4 for 2 keys. downvote.

                  i sold 2 today for 3.66

                  downvote

bought 2 for 3.33 and thers like 1 page in classifieds for 3.33 so, upvote

The tf2 economy is a peculiar one. I don't understand why these are selling for above 3 refined. If a key costs 2.50 from the store, and a ticket costs 1.00 then why are the tickets selling for close to half the price of a key in metal? Basic mathematics say it should be ~40% of the price of one key which is about 2.9-3 refined. Can someone ELI5? I am honestly curious.

a lot of the buyers just don't care about that.

and because not all people buy stuff straight from the store

Just sold 6 for 3 keys- Downgoat
