Hey everyone, I thought I would try and update the price of the Burning Flames Villain's Veil.

NOTE: These sales are only for Clean Burning Veils, as there have been no recent duped Burning Veil sales recentley that I know of. So, please keep that in mind when reading, thanks.

31.5 + 6.2 + 1.2 = 39 x 0.9 = 35.1

(Jul 7th) Sale between Sunshine and Wanker (Sold for 33 buds pure | Note: it was a quicksell.)

33 + 40 x .15 = 39

Counting it was a Quicksell, I am going to add 6 buds to the price, as it is 15% of the current price which is 40. Accounting that quicksells are atleast 15% off the normal price.

The veil was calculated at 36 after the 0.90 mulitplication in the sale for the Beams KE.

Average of all 3 sales:

(Using standard mean calculations)

35.1 + 39 + 36 = 110.1 / 3 = 36.5

It was valued at the price here, 40 buds for the beams KE. So 36 after overpay. Doesn't really belong here. :P

Not to mention the fact that I added a strange gunslinger with parts and other sweets. And also you can't just x0.9 for my unusuals... he wanted my unusuals just as much as I wanted his so we did a fair trade, just because you want a burning veil you don't have to try lowering the price.

Actually I'm exactly the same as you, I don't play this anymore, I don't want these unusuals anymore and I am selling for pure, the dude told me he wouldn't be highering or lowering the price and he lied to me just so I'd give him a screenshot, dislike my comments all you want, he's an asshole that lied to get this cheaper for himself, and to the guy below, it's actually a £80 drop to me, but if that's nothing to you then cool...

Yup, just the fact that he lied to me just to get the screenshot proves how desperate he is for the price to lower for himself though... I'm trying to cash out and this isn't helping tbh, and like I said previously, why is it fair that my items got multiplied by 0.9? Sunshine wanted my set too so doing that seems more than unfair....

Multiplying by .9 is the usual overpay, unless the person offered on your unusuals. If you offered on his veil then overpay gets counted.

Yup I offered on his veil, he declined my offer because I wouldn't add and then re-added me because he said he was really interested in the set, lol, seems unfair multiplying it by 0.9 bro when he was interested in my set as I was in his veil :P

Ya it's ok people will still pay 40, I remember when I was still playing TF2 and I offered someone 40+ and they still didn't take it for a duped one lol. It wouldn't drop the price unless veils became unboxable.

Dude chill, it's a 9% drop. He's not technically dropping or raising the value of the item, he's correcting it as the last price is long outdated.

You don't use an average, you set it as a range.

Quicksales should not be used as proof. And you can't just magically add buds to make it look like a normal sale.

Also, you don't take the average of the sales, instead you should make a range.

EDIT: Some of the hats used are outdated, which means they need a mini-suggestion to be usable.

I paid a secret bubble pipe + sunbeams beret + 1 key, also the noh is the cleanest noh on the market so no it shouldn't be counted as 28, that one isn't as clean as sunshine's and the veil there is a quicksell.

Thanks for the suggestion but there are a few issues here.

Your sale #1 is missing a strange gunslinger and 2 keys in sweets. The peace noh has a 7 month old price, so our current value cannot be used. The hearts phantom is duped (I have a mini for that at 5-5.5 in my duped hats thread in the forums). But it won't matter since the noh will need to be updated first.

You can't use sale #3 as proof. This was used to price the ke. You can't then use the KE to price this. That leaves us with only the quicksell as a valid sale.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough to update this. Personally, I think your new value is about right. I think the Sale #1 is ~36 in pure, the fetti veils trade is ~35 in pure, and the last sale is also probably ~35 in pure. Range here really is probably ~35-36 for a clean burning veil. But it will need to be proven with updated hats, not ones with outdated prices.
