Because rare doesnt mean expensive, it needs to have both low supply (rare) and high demand for it's price to go up. Basic economics.
And the contents of this crate are boring and generally undesired ie low demand.
If rare = expensie then halloweens and the tradable UHHH would be worth multiple buds (thousands of buds vs a few hundred halloweens/UHHHH) yet they arnt worth much, why? because no one wants them,, no one is competing to buy it i.e. no one is bidding up the prices.
reason why it went up before is because everyone rushed out to buy it thinknig it will go up since it got removed without factoring the demand, when they relaised that the item became a hard sell they try to quickly sell it off which is why it's dropped so fast. Happens with every discontinued item
