I had one of these a few days ago and sold it for 1 bud pure. Only 5 exist, so there really isn't any trade history that I'm aware of.

It's not. 5 is a fairly common number for unusuals, and with a 3rd gen hat, he must have more than a single sale.

Use the website trade.tf and backpack.tf / TF2outpost item histories (check what the previous owners sold for)

The trade you linked sold in an hour and the other 1 bud trade sold for that in about a day. 1 bud seems to be a quicksell price.
Well, it wasn't in an hour since he relisted it like 10 times. This hat has sold many times and it sells fairly quickly, but every time it sells it's pretty close to 1 buds. I think this is fine.
