Basic math here on what the range should be:
2.25 + 2.48 + 2.70 + 2.42 = 9.85 / 4 = 2.46 which rounds up to 2.5 Keys.

Your 2.5 sale might have been a quicksell considering the guy who sold it to d0 had a buyout at 2 keys (http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22297216)
As for your SCM data (http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Collector%27s%20Family%20Business), currently the minimum buy is 6.98 and the second is 6.99. 6.98*.85/1.81=3.28 keys. Lowest sale by 8/15 was 6.69*.85 = 3.14 keys, sale at 8/18 7.08*.85 = 3.32, 8/22 7.13x2 = 3.34 keys, and 8/27 7.61*.85 = 3.57 keys.
In conclusion: I have no clue where you're pulling your SCM data from but it certainly isnt from the 4 sales in the past 15 days. 3 keys seems like the right price currently. It's not selling very well at 3keys but it is selling too fast at below 3. Thus 2 and 2.5 look like quicksell outliers. Good effort but downvote
Edit 2: Since july 29, there hasn't been a single SCM sale below $5.05. Not a single clue where you're getting your $4.80 price at.
edit 3 and I swear I'm done this time: looking at the lifetime SCM sales for this item, the lowest sale ever was $.26 and the 2nd lowest sale ever was $5.05. Your $4.80 figure is coming from nowhere.
