Notes:
1 of 1 in existence.
Only sale in ~7 months.
Conclusion:
Even though it might be considered an outlier, this is the only sale that has occurred in 7 months. It got sold to a collector, most likely will never see it on the market.
Feel free to support/counter my suggestion!
They were quickselling for 30; seems a little off to put it at 25.
Especially since it's gone for 55, 45, and 40 before.
I agree with you that 25 seems a little low, but it is the only sale that has occurred in 7 months. I'm just recording the sale as is. If it sells again, another suggestion could be made. 25 should for for now. Otherwise, this hat would never have a price...
IMHO no price is better than marking a quicksale as an actual price.
Hmm, lets wait and see what the mods think. If they agree with you, I'll close this suggestion.
Well, we try to stay away from making judgment calls on hats >20 buds in value and just report the sales as is. Attempting to give valuation on hats of this tier is sort of a farce. Sales are highly variable and depend greatly on number on the market and time of year. Furthermore, overpay calculations are very different. 90 buds pure >>> 100 in old effects >>> 100 in new effects. Our 10% rule is silly for hats of this tier. It's realistically closer to 30-40%. It's for good reason that people are wary of our listed values on high end hats.
To stay away from this complexity, we have chosen to just report sales as they happen. It's more a curiosity for avid traders rather than any kind of judgment call made about what we think a hat is worth. Sometimes this means we see a hat getting "over-valued" and sometimes "under-valued," but at least this way we can remain objective and let experienced traders take what they will away from a hat's listed value.
Still, having said all of this, I'll take a look at offers. If offers are easily 30-40+, I will consider closing.
Took 6 months for him to sell this hat and a full month of selling at 30 to sell at 25 in pure. In the last 4 months, looking at ALL of his trades, he has two documented offers:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/20865572 - Offers: duped AF Gibus
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18499664 - Offers: Hellfire Cone (unpriced)
And that's literally it as far as documented offers go in 4 months on the market....This hat again illustrates the huge discrepancy between pure and unusual values. Our 10% rule is really off. Really, overpay on hats like these can be as high as 40-50%. I have no doubt that this hat could get 30 or more in unusuals (my mini on the two offered hats puts them at 40 and 30, respectively), but the price in pure on this really seems to be 25.
