Just noticed that one of these is one the market and was sold and is selling for 8 mixed.

I GOT THIS PROOF OF THE CURRENT OWNER I AM NOT AN ALT!
Sold for 40 keys (2.35 buds) + Max Head (3.3 buds) + Smoking Gatsby (16 keys, Price is over one year old) + Aus Medigun (1.65 buds)
= 5.65 buds in pure + 2.35 buds in items = 8 buds.
Gatsby has a 1+ year old price, nevertheless it seems fine.

The small difference in keys on the Gatsby hardly affect this price.
The owner has re listed it, if he doesn't sell in 1 month re suggest
I'm pretty sure that is for unpriced hats only.
I'm pretty sure it is on all hats, Also at the time of the sale 40 keys was ~2 buds, so maybe redo the math at the time of the sale on each item.

The hat went to a collector or person who intends to keep the hat. A collector can be identified by looking at the person's trade history, item history of similar unusuals in the backpack OR if the owner has not resold the hat 1 month after the sale occurred.

Exception 2: Rare Hats
Any hat can be priced based on a single sale if ALL these criteria are met:
- There are no other recent sales in the last 3 months
- The effect is not a summer 2013 effect. (robo, 2013 halloween effects can be used as they are often rarely traded and rarely unboxed)
- The hat went to a collector or person who intends to keep the hat. A collector can be identified by looking at the person's trade history, item history of similar unusuals in the backpack OR if the owner has not resold the hat 1 month after the sale occurred.

This hat is classified under exception 2. What part of that do you not understand. It went to someone who is trying to resell.

8 buds? Hilarious. Sorry, I'm with Carnage here. You got crap proof on this one. Guy overpaid way too much on a hat he thought he could make profit on. The Dapper was priced at 6 when it was sold, the price wasn't outdated then either, it was a month old. That was literally the only offer EFF got that suggests your value, and he took it (no blame to him, who wouldn't?). Hat's not unpriced, it wasn't sold to a collector, and there is a recent sale still within the past three months to suggest a lower value. Mine. What's the effect on the hat?I see now, Ghosts.Ghosts Gonzila + 4 pure is what I paid for my Dapper. Feel free to add Solpi to ask, or I could hunt down the trade in my history and get better screenies.
This was used in the previous suggestion though. I'm don't know for sure, but I don't think it's valid since it was.
And a 6-8 range would look pretty bad.
While that's true, it's still a valid sale by backpack rules. The Hellfire Dapper has only sold once since I bought mine, I keep track of the other one (being a 1 of 2 hat). I at least quoted two sales in my suggestion. One sale, I would say, isn't enough, especially when the guy's reselling it. He was willing to pay the 8 buds, what he does with it doesn't matter much. I don't see anything wrong. And saying that he overpaid is only an opinion.
If I go out and drop 16 buds on a Darkblaze Capotain because I was willing, I'm sure it wouldn't be priced at 16. We'll let the votes decide if this passes or not, this is literally the highest recorded sale of this hat since it was unboxed.

I would go with 6-8 on this.
8 months is not really a reasonable time frame to sell a hat. If it takes 8 months to sell a hat for 8, it's not really reasonable for us to value a hat at 8 and expect the next owner to wait 8 months to sell it again. Given the lack of offers on this and the previous sale at 6, I'm going to stick with my previous comment that this should get a range of 6-8.
