This suggestion was marked as bad evidence and closed by A Delicious Cashew™.

There should always be enough evidence to back up the new proposed value. However, it appears that the evidence is not strong enough, or cherry-picked in a way that does not represent the actual market value of the item. Therefore, this suggestion has been closed.

Hello everyone! This is one of my first suggestions so please don't be too rough on me :) Feedback is appreciated!

(4th time, I hope I got it right this time!)

Proof:

(Not too many on the market, only about 3-4 of them, these are most of the completed and current trades)

Quicksold for 15 keys: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22918689 - how do you know it got sold for 15? thats just the trade text, for what we know he could have sold it for less

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22893227 (Sold, this is the one that i bought, the tf2outpost hasn't been updated yet) - You overpaying for an item does not increase the items value

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9065263 (Selling, check the comments, the author mentions one bud as the price) - the only recent offers are for ~ 12 keys

Go sell yours for 17, come with the proof, and then maybe we'll accept your price.

We have to trust that the author sold their item for the trade text, otherwise no proof would be that valid, I didn't overpay for the item I paid what looked like a fair price, it doesn't really matter what the most recent offers are if the author wants a certain price. if I offer a key for an unusual, it's not going to be fair at all and that can't be solely used to judge the price.

Lmao. Pricing does not work on "trust", it works on proof. Unless the trade has at least an offer stating the price, you cant "trust" anything, ive personally sold a ton of stuff for less than my trade stated.

Again, what YOU though the price was, DOES NOT mean its the items value.

Offers = what people are willing to pay, 12 keys its only 1 key lower than the current price, AND THATS OK.

And ill tell you again, Go sell yours for 17, come with the proof, and then maybe we'll accept your price.

u said one has been "quicksold for 15 keys" what proof can you provide that 15 keys is a quicksale price and not in fact a marketing ploy that the trader used to give the idea that his hat is much cheaper than market price when it in fact was not? unless u can prove this i will have to downvote this.

        The 15 keys one didn't sell for 15, more like 14. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22922364

There's only one sale in your range, and it's yours...

Downvote, take some time and get SOLID SALES. 4 tries means you're doing something wrong.

Sorry I should make it more clear, first of all the 15 keys one is different from the one u just posted, the link that I posted was in fact 15 keys. Also most of my 4 tries were actually formatting errors, they were all made in the same day.

...but the ads were both selling the same hat (their IDs and history are identical). :\

It's possible the 14 key ad sold the hat after the 15 key one was closed without a bump. (The 14 key ad was made later than the 15 key ad.)

He closed the 15 one and opened the 14. The trade you have there is older than the 14 one, he clearly sold for less. But do you see, the only proof you have for your new price is your own sale, which is not enough.

The only thing is that I also see a lot of offers for around a bud inside each of the offers I listed here, which isnt exactly evidence, but it does suggest that this range is about right.

Um, where do you see those offers... In the links that you listed the most recent offer is 12 keys, a month ago. There's no proof here supporting your suggestion.

In the 8000 view one, he mentions he is selling it for a bud and sweets so even a bit more, http://imgur.com/x4JIJWt. Also someone offered 16 keys (At the time, prices changed now) for it http://imgur.com/aMfqdSJ. Hope this helps!

Selling doesn't determine the price... And the offer is 9 months old...

That explains why it has so many views though, they might be a harsher seller who doesn't want to sell as easily.

Also I just realized he says he is selling for 1 bud anyways :/

screenshot of the trade history please

I agree with most of youse, and the quicksell was for 15 keys, at least 1 key above current price.
