Place counterproof, suggestions or even help below

where did high end come from?

High end is the 2 outliers averaged, There is only 2 of these hats on the market and proof is a tad scarce.

There is only one on the market now, and the seller is looking for 40 keys for it.

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23030141 Electro-Static sold for P. Energy Tricorne (2.7-3.1) way over 2 buds

where does 2 buds come from?

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22953343 Just sold for a Miami Pickle and 5 keys (~35 keys)

his b/o was 25 keys so the sale can only be valued at 25 keys

His B/O was 25 keys and he got more. That doesn't mean it IS ONLY valued at 25 keys. Also, it's at 2 buds due to an above stated reason.

if you read the rules, it states a sale can't be valued higher than the b/o set

"Quickbuy" trades and buyouts (B/O) do not count towards evidence. Quickbuyers do not look for a specific item in particular. Buyout prices are set by the seller and therefore do not reflect the actual price of the item.

As shown in the Price suggestion guide. Buyouts are not mentioned in the rules.

I have read the rules Multiple TIMES and it does not once state that, it actually says to dis-include B/o and Quicksells when priceing

if it doesn't say it in the rules, just look through past suggestions:

                    http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22254451

was closed because the sale was at 27 buds (he put a wrong range) also, the sellers b/o was only 21.5 buds and the sale can't be valued higher than the b/o

                    http://backpack.tf/vote/id/542703aeb98d88ac288b509d

sale was valued at 9 but since b/o was 8, the sale should only be valued at 8 (new suggestion up for new range)

mods comment at the bottom of the suggestion

                    "Sale mentioned here is ~8.5

                    http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22504311 - offered on burning slug. ~8.5 (b/o was 8 though) - sold in 3 days"

Uhm, the mod stated that b/o was 8 but sale was valued at ~8.5. Thanks for the proof to back us up though.

                        umm?

"http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22171802 - clean houwar with 3 person history (really 10.5 pure at least, but let's count as 10)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22599225 - looks like added scorching mining light + 1 buds? for a duped scorching ballcap. 1 day before mining light went misc. most likely offered, so no overpay. sale value here is probably around 9

                        Sale mentioned here is ~8.5

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22504311 - offered on burning slug. ~8.5 (b/o was 8 though) - sold in 3 days

And that's all the post misc sales. So looks like sales at 8, 8.5, 9, and 10. This should probably get a range of 8-10. Mean of 9 is probably about right and I might have accepted this if the votes weren't so negative."

first sale was the 10 sale

second sale was the 9 sale

third sale was from the suggestion valued at 8.5

fourth sale was valued at 8.5 but b/o of 8 so sale of 8

                        that makes up 8, 8.5, 9 and 10

also you completely ignored the first two links i showed you

if you still don't believe me, contact the mods yourself or go look at other suggestions which have sales above their b/o's but the sale was only valued at the b/o, this is because bp.tf values hats for their pure price

Oh, I looked at them. The first is just a post with one sale, and has no input or relevance to this conversation. The second is an outpost trade showing the one sale, and I agree with you one that one. But this is if the b/o is the value of the trade. The guy overpayed, but he was also the only sale. There's more than one sale here, and they fall in or above the price range. Your second post, eh. Same debate we're having here. Suggestion was closed by the author though, so admins didn't even indirectly confirm or deny if b/o is the limit. I don't know what the mods opinions are, but rules state nothing of b/o's and suggestion guide says to ignore them. http://backpack.tf/help/suggestions Under what doesn't count as evidence: Buyouts are set by the seller, and therefore DO NOT reflect the price of the item. This isn't through other suggestions, this is from BP.tf's own pricing suggestion guide. Not sure what's confusing about that.

There are a few sales over two, but given that the only one on the market has been up for 3 weeks with a b/o of 2, I think the range is fine
