Probably the only sale there will be in a while
Correct me if anything is wrong
Sold mine for a Whirly Warrior (1.66) http://gyazo.com/e091609870e38d8ba2b122691d73ee61

More proof.
I don't need more proof for a rarely traded item.
One trade is barely proof.
I'll reiterate again:
I don't need more proof for a rarely traded item.
Need more proof? LOOK AT THE COLLECTOR'S GRIMM HATTE SUGGESTION I MADE. That passed with one trade.
While your point of not needing more proof is valid, comparing it to a suggestion involving a 1 of 2 item doesn't support your stance (there are over 8000 of these, after all).
I'm not comparing this suggestion to my C. Grimm one with chance of getting accepted. He's saying that one link is barely anything, HOWEVER! I have priced many items with one link. The fact the Grimm is 1:2 doesn't actually affect this suggestion in any way
I wasn't referring to the chance of getting accepted. I just don't believe a 1 of 2 item is a good way to backup the lack of need for proof. There's a difference between a very rare item not being traded often (C. Grimm Hatte) and a moderately rare item not being traded often (several Halloween items, just as an example, with a few hundred existing but only one valid sale).
Anyway, disagreement is irrelevant when I see some on-topic counter-proof below.
My god . . .

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23439789 1 scrap
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23506977 0.22 rec (??? I guess he means ref)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23469122 1 ref
Well, given that there are so many sellers for such a rarely traded item below your suggested price leads me to think you just got lucky. Downvote I'm afraid.
This is a really weird one. I'll give my take.
Sellers:

With sellers all over the place (and no sales for all of these) it's probably best to disregard sellers and go with sales for setting the price.
That's why I provided the only sale
So basically you are saying: There are people out there who are trying to sell it at 1 scrap for over a week, but let's set the price at 1.66 ref because someone sold it that high.
And the next suggestion will be someone to lower the price "because there are unsolds below"
Can't sell in a week for 1 ref: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23554001
Not reasonable to price this at 1.66 flat.
