What is your math? Keys rose by 7 ref in 2 years. In another 2 years it would be more ~17 and not 40 if the growth keeps happening. Unless you believe the growth to be exponential.

by the way, there is a current price vote for ref to go even lower, so get ready for another series of hikes in the key prices. i would say definitely 15 ref before the end of this year. the economy is crashing for hats where 2 or 3 refs doesn't have much value anymore. but anyway, backpack.tf will soon not be the absolute reference to determine and establish the exchange rate of key to refs much longer.

The only reason that the prices keep rising it's because of the trade bots, when a new price shows up they rise they price, then someone comes here and suggests a new price based on the bots prices. This is a non ending vicious cycle
