Sold for a duped Burning Dapper's Topper. (8.42, see mini below)
Duped Dapper mini (using only recent usable sale I could find): http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22666968- Sold for 5 pure plus Disco Impaler (3.8 times .9= 3.42 plus 5= 8.42) I do realize this is more than the current price for a clean Burning Dapper, which doesn't quite make sense, so if you believe I should use that price instead please tell me.
8.42 times .9= 7.578, rounding to 7.6
Why this is DEFINITELY not a quicksale: He has been trying to "quicksell" this thing for months. Considering he took well under his B/O of 9, and not in pure, it should be clear that he wasn't lowering the price from the bp.tf one to sell the hat quickly, but to sell it at all.

It took him over a month to sell with the price he was asking, and he has been trying to sell it for a higher price for several months before that. If you think that's a quicksale and actually have good reason for thinking so, feel free to tell me and I will close this suggestion until another sale happens (which could take months considering how long it took this sale to happen.)
dang that's a big drop...
Having 2 other Engineer miscs come into existence (both of which you can wear more than one of due to having the "None" equip region, and 1 of which doesn't clip with any hat unlike the Brainiac), can do that.
Or Eerie is just less popular lately. Maybe both.
We can only speculate on why the price drops, but we can clearly tell it needs one based on this sale and how long it took.

Minus Burning. Some effect+hat combos just never lose their hype.

I think your value of the duped burning dapper's topper is too high.
Quite a few of the burning dapper's topper sellers at the moment are selling for less than your suggested mini suggestion value.

Well, the duped hat certainly shouldn't be valued more than the clean one and a clean suggestion passed 2 days ago at 6.8. This shouldn't be more than 6.2 after overpay, then.
