Why do people Gift Unusuals (besides the actual presence of gifting)? Shouldn't they know it automatically decreases the value?

i think some people buy the unusual when the person just unboxes it because they may not know the real price so they ask them to gift it to them instead (since it's untradable for a few days)

Its complicated, but people hijack accounts then gift items to themselves so that a) they dont have a trade history b)it looks like it was simply a gift. Sometimes people just want their hats to be signed by friends/idols . I dont get it either tho bby

I know of a Hijacker who just now scammed a SBTWC Hustler's Hallmark from an F2P, and it's still untradable, so tell everyone to NOT buy a SBTWC Hustler's
