Sorry if this is bad/set up wrong. I have not done a price suggestion in more than a year. Thanks for the patience :)
Actual sales would be nice
Do you know where I could find out what they were sold for? I am very new to this, sorry :(
Here, let me help you ^^
There are multiple ways of finding what unusuals sold for. Here are some examples that I use ^^:
-Check each person's backpack and find out when the unusual was sold by checking when the previous owner last had it in their backpack. Then find out what changed in their backpack, check the histories and make sure that they match with the hat's history.
-They could say in tf2outpost trades.
-With common items, just assume that they sold for their B/O if they aren't in their backpack.
-Check what the person that just sold the unusual is now selling on tf2outpost.
^^
Trade.tf could also work (it shows previous trades, including closed trades), and you can always borrow (meaning with permission and/or credit) from previous suggestions (so long as it's not primary and is within a month of the current suggestion).
Now onwards to criticism about the suggestion.
You do not need sales for lowering a price. The guy above is not saying the truth. But more sales does help.
You have not applied overpay on the unusuals (price of unusual * 0.9) and it helps to organize your links by buyout or closest offer.
Top of your range shouldn't be higher than any B/Os (or at the B/Os).
I will be in favor (given a fixed range or the like) as these are the only trades on outpost, but I'm sure you can dig around in Trade.TF for more trades (must be within a month (or is it two? I need to look at it again at some point)).
I would gladly do suggestions, but I wouldn't trust myself being self-taught. Rarely does anything I do that's self-taught go well. But oh well. That's life. Mistakes are almost guaranteed to be made. Plus I can't really find items to fixate. I don't follow the tide of the market that well.
I knew I was forgetting something, I use that too c:
Also, you can ask the person what they sold for via steam chat ^^
You do needz da sales, even though I agree it should go down, ballcap's are overpriced, atleast I think they are.
Thank you all for the help :) I will update the information in the first comment when I have a bit more time to go digging around looking for past sales. Thanks again :D
You should close and resuggest, much easier that way
