Rare hat, made me like knifestorm too.
Sale 1
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22964248
sold for 48-50 keys
The backpack info from the date of the trade is not available,
but the buyer had a KAW company man a day prior, whichhe no longer has
on 8th. Stands to reason he definitely had the resource to get the
pure he offered.
Price:3.33
Sale 2:
sold for 40 keys+ pro aussie axtinguisher

axe mini: sold it for 2 painted bill's,str. degreaser, 3 keys and 2 keys in refined ~ 14
Price: 3.8
Supporting Sale:

buyer before: http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561197993876329?time=1413039501
buyer after: http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561197993876329?time=1413097200
price: 0.9* (2.9+ 1.2)?(outdated, doesnt really matter because 1) 2 pure sales 2)price from two low tier unusuals puts it right in the middle of the suggested range involving pure)
3.6
1. Your first sale was sold for 49 keys + 1.33 refs. Buds price nearest to the date is 16.25 keys. So ~49 keys /16.25 = ~3 buds
http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198035077222?time=1412785482
Sort by time and you can see the keys from next to the gunslinger all the way to the Australium force a nature.
2. Your second sale is valued at 54 keys. At the time of the sale, the price of buds nearest to the sale is 15.5 keys, so 54/15.5 = 3.5 buds.
3. Your third sale , the purple confetti dixie was not involved. It was Burning Flames Sola Shooter Topi(Outdated) + 3 keys
Backpack of the seller after the trade
http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198066392744?time=1413042965
So basically, your sales are 3 buds , 3.5 buds and another one that might be less than 3 buds after overpay is applied on the shooter's sola topi. Your range is higher than it should be.
can i get someone to confirm what you said about taking buds value during the time of trade to be correct? Could resuggest if that happens.
From the unusual pricing guide http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-new-unusual-price-suggestion-guide-the-cheat-sheet/
"The values of items in a trade should be the "value" of the item at the time of the trade.
This can be very tricky as it can be difficult to extrapolate the value of an item on March 1 when the two most recent suggestions were on February 1 and April 1. In most scenarios, the value should based on the accepted suggestion closest in time to the date of the trade. For unusuals, this is usually the most recent suggestion for a hat since they are rarely updated, but this is not always the case. Many new unusuals are updated every 2-4 weeks.
Examples:
- If the sale happened on April 1 and there are two suggestions at March 1 and April 2, the April 2 suggestion value should be used.
- If the sale happened on April 1 and there are two suggestions at March 30 and April 30, the March 30 suggestion value should be used.
To further complicate matters, some items (like buds or the bmoc) drop precipitously. So using this method may not be reliable. To the best of your ability, try to use the "value" of the item at the time of the sale. If that is too hard to predict, that proof should be avoided in making the suggestion."
Cheers. Closing to re-suggest. Seems to have had a couple other sales in between as well.
