it looks like a better range would be 1.66-2.00 ref or even 1.33-1.66 cus 2 ref isn't selling atm as much

Did you look at the proof? That was all the solds in trade.tf... That means, it does sell at 2 ref and it sells quickly because most people are selling it at that price. That means 2 ref is an common trading point atm, so people don't have a lot of choice. For that reason, 2 ref should be in the range. Plus, there are no solds at 1.66 ref to prove the range.
