Based on current prices, every time you buy a key over 12.45, you are paying more than the value of the key on the Mann Co. Store.

Careful what you deny what is believed to be 'unthinkable'; reality isn't as constant in every moment. Ask me, how do you know that for certain; I don't. None of us do, but that doesn't mean it's not true. And to state that something will not be sold at a certain value someday in belief that it won't make sense is a little biased and prejudice to imply. Reality and common sense are not shared equally as we know from suggestions and ranges voted and commented on, etc. What they do share is their probability of changing passively, constantly, in front of us knowing and unknowingly. I send this message to advise to whomever reads this, to not deceive yourselves or let others deceive you. Encouragement, involvement, any participation of these affairs will only continue to shift the currency system to an event where it would be best for it to undergo new management. I make this statement not for myself, but for the trades that all suggestion reports will affect, and the users whom exchange in any level of casual trade. Criticize if you must, I've only declared my place amongst these market reflections in spite of size, quantity, and value. Still, I question if real life currency should define the state of the metal currency.

Upvote. It will be interesting to see how far the inflation goes with ref.

Does anyone have ideas about factors that might limit its inflation? Like surely crafting with ref must become more profitable after the price drops to say $0.11 or something. This is discounting any major update from valve of course.

Your right, because if ref drops any lower than $0.13 people are going to be buying ref from places like https://tf2shop.net/ and https://marketplace.tf/ because crafting "will" be more profitable...

We'll have to wait and see. Because if craft hats keep dropping in price as well, rather than inflating (which you might assume they would be with ref becoming less valuable) then people will just keep on trading for hats rather than crafting. I feel like there must be a limiting factor somewhere for the inflation but can't put my finger on it.
