Why is 4.4 an outlier? Mainly because of the current sellers below it.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23979491 3.9
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23992937 3.5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23992388 3.5
Also keeping in mind that collectors most often overpay for their stuff, for me 2.8 should be fine.
Additional Proof/Counter-Proof/Constructive Criticism/Feedback is always appreciated.
Two b/os at 3.5 up for a hours and another up for a day is not proof that this hat cannot sell for 4.4 pure in, say, 1 month. I don't like using b/os to cap the high end unless they've had a chance on the market for a reasonable amount of time. I would either go 2.8-4.4 or give the trades a reasonable amount of time to sell. Say, 1 week for all three trades. 3 1-week old b/os at that amount would be more convincing.
Yeah I was thinking about waiting until the trades get older, but if they do sell they'll probably be capped at 3.5-4 if they sell for more than their B/O, rendering 4.4 as an outlier.
I'll leave this up until more sales are found.
Well, say they sold for 3.5 in a week and the 3.9 one sold for that in two weeks. Your sales would be 2.8, 3.5, 3.9, and 4.4. 4.4 would not be an outlier.
Good point, though if the new owners decided to relist theirs below 4.4(Let's say 3.7 and 4.2), or if one of them decided to quicksell for pure, it would likely hint that 4.4 is a bit much.
Again we should probably wait. It all comes down to the current sellers and what they end up selling theirs for.
