EVERYTHING HERE IS NOT MINE. JACOBMEISTER REQUESTED I DO THIS FOR HIM.
Sale 1:
http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198073709385?time=1417334400
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23892935 - sold for PE Veil + duped Burning Brigade Helm + Scorching Rifleman
Veil = 16.5 * 0.9 = ~14.9
Brigade = 16 * 0.9 = 14.4
Rifleman = 11.5 * 0.9 = ~10.4
I'm taking 11.5 as polar stated in the last suggestion for it that the 13 sale was probably too high due to duped stuff being involved.
Total sale value = 14.9 + 14.4 + 10.4 = 39.7, rounding to 40.
Veil:
http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198042194304?time=1416729600
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23775166 - sold for duped CM Stahlhelm (14.75 * 0.8 = ~12) + AF Noir (6.9 * 0.9 = ~6.2) + white bills and 3 keys (7.5 keys = ~0.5 buds) = 18.7 buds, rounding to 18.5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22933454 - sold for 10 buds + lvl 1 max* (3.3 * 0.9 = ~3) + 11 keys and 3 painted bills (24.5 keys = ~1.5 buds at the time) = 14.5 buds
Max: http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,3025583720,162,6
Wide range here, but taking 14.5 - 18.5
Brigade:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23999987 - sold with PE Veil (16.5 * 0.9 = ~14.9) + PF Lid (3 * 0.9 = 2.7) + GE Robin (2.4 * 0.9 = ~2.2) for Burning Veil (40 * 0.9 = 36)
36 - 14.9 - 2.7 - 2.2 = 16.2. Seems high, but no other indicators of value - taking 16.
Sale 2:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23570573 - sold for 42 buds
Sale 3:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23523696 - CS:GO stuff
Sale 4:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23402020 - sold for 24 buds + 240 keys (buds were 15.5 = ~15.5 buds) = 39.5 buds, rounding to 40
Sellers:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23656458 - dropped B/O to 46 after 3 weeks
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23979282 - asked what QS price is wanted "nothing below 40"
Sale:2 was a quicksell, as was Sale:4 as is the current seller @ 46 and the second @ 40. Hense only wanting pure and selling quickly. The one at 40 sold in a day, as did the one at 42. Looking at the unusual offers they seem in the range of the current price. Downvote.
Also, why claim to suggest prices for others? If their bp value is too low to suggest they shouldn't be suggesting? That's the whole idea, right.
Because having a 1$ backpack doesn't mean you know jack-all about prices/suggesting.
bp value is not indicative of trading knowledge, do you know who pyroman is?
It is when it comes to high tier unusuals. There is such a thing as market knowledge which i agree with you to an extent, you don't necessarily need a backpack of high value to understand. But there is far more to trading than outpost and bp.tf, theres alot more that goes on, you wouldn't understand unless you've been there. But you understand that these rules are put in place for a reason, you can get your buddies to downvote what i say all you like but if a player dont meet qualifications for suggesting you shouldn't be suggesting. Thats simple. If you wish to make this suggestion on your own back, go ahead. I'm not here to argue, but these things are put in place for a reason.
"It is when it comes to high tier unusuals"
do...you... know... who PYROMAN is
Another case of ignoring others opinions and just going with your own. I am commenting on a suggestion of a price, this has nothing to do with someone else that has nothing to do with this trade.
Agreed, these sales could be seen easily as quicksells for a hat worth half as much.
Just out of curiosity, how do you know they sold in a day? From what i can tell both took a week atleast.
Timestamps on OP. The sale of 42 was 3 days the other was a few days more but was originally a higher price. The collecting offer and Kraken (the buyer) both were within day or two that the price was lowered. I know this as i was asked my opinion on the quicksell price as it was changed.
Edit: In saying that and as i said above, more goes on than just bp.tf and outpost. Kraken was in negotiations prior to posting on trade and waiting for a response.
About sale 4:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22702260 - opened on 18th of September, "Pure offers only. Willing to sell cheap..."
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22863973 - same notes, relist
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23402020 - sold
So, in total it's like 1.5 months? Don't think it's a QS. Talking only about the last opened trade, it took a week to sell.
Sale 2 might went quick enough, but I agree with Wolfilicious here - probably he was just lucky enough.
EDIT: Sale 1 took in total 2.5 weeks+, tons of relists.
40 bud and 42 pure sale seems like quicksales however the 1st sale is not but your minis for it are not that good (price is about right tho).
So if there are no higher offers or higher sales I guess sale #1 isnt an outlier and the quicksales were probably just lucky.
For trade #2, I bought it roughly a few hours later the trade was opened.
Some day.. Some day I do hope I'll get one of these.
curious about the cs:go sale. as an inexperienced pricer, i would like to ask if that sale is ok?
You'd use SCM prices from the time of sale, but if you got TF2 sales you'd leave the GO ones out of it
SCM prices are horrible for many CSGO items due to high levels of fluctuation and great variation between seemingly the same item. Especially high tiers such as what was offered over $400 in value (karambit fade). More comes into play on skins than just SCM price.
*sigh* Alterrr, it's the way things work around here. Until csgobackpack.tf is made, we use SCM prices regardless of the 'variations'. It's the closest damn thing we have to proof of the worth of the GO item involved.
*sigh* the price shouldnt be used. As you haven't given it a price. If anything im agreeing with what you've done..
Edit: on that justification no unusuals should be priced over $400. Think about it.
No unusuals ever touch a 400$ CS:GO item, what are you on about
Im referring to your justification is using the SCM for all csgo items. If an item is worth more than $400, using the SCM you'd price it at $400. OBVIOUSLY its worth alot more. I'm agreeing with you that the CSGO sale shouldnt be used.
Again, no unusuals have sold for $400 CS:GO item.
in the event it occurs, we'd probably just ignore it.
Or discuss with Teeird, our CS:GO knives specialist.
And, the SCm is the only 'guide' we got. If you've got another guide i'll be glad to see it/use it
Forget about it, you can't comprehend what i'm saying... *whoosh over the head*
Y'know, you don't have to be condescending. Not everybody follows the same pricing guide.
I'm not, you're arguing with me over me agreeing with you. Its as simple as you not comprehending what i'm saying. A "misunderstanding" if you will, it may come with experience or attempting to understand anothers point of view. All i've got to say, i'm done.
"Edit: on that justification no unusuals should be priced over $400. Think about it."
where does this come from...
Read above.
your "Edit" part still makes no sense, you've made the assumption that all unusuals that sell for csgo items only sell for one cs go item and that the one cs go item is not worth more than 400
No, coming from someone who trades regularly in both games and between games you are not reading and cant understand. (presumably because you don't trade in high tier knives) ITEMS SELL FOR MORE THAN $400 in csgo, $400 is MAX SCM PRICE. Get it? What im saying is, using the price justification of $400 max SCM possible price no item should be worth more. Plenty unusuals are worth more, right? As are many CSGO items. I'm AGREEING with Prof. that because of this the csgo trade shouldnt be used.
Jeez.. it seems to me like poor Alter is taking on backpack tf wannabes. good luck with that.
Cant help but lol at that statement
Ok I try it again for you. The bomber sold for an AWP which is worth more than 400$. Means it sells outside the community market. So you cant use the scm to price it. Got it?
Dragon Lore Awp is atleast 1450$, never seen a sale for less than 1400 paypal. Why would you ever say that scm price is good for cs:go items, as there are unusuals on the market that are worth 1-2 buds on bp.tf for 140%+ on the scm price. And there are other prices, like for howl items, that are worth more or less depending on scratches. Every cs:go item that isn't FN usually (unless its a knife or a few other skins) is unique, and so the value fluctuates. For example, a Case hardened Field-Tested Gut knife might be all gray with 1 spot of gold and only be 50$, while the same wear and exterior but its all gold/blue with Spots of blue/gold, and 0 gray might be 400$. It really depends on the weapons unique design that prices it, so using scm is a bad idea. Use cs:go lounge or reddit or search in a google search bar to find past trades. Don't just use scm.
Requested to storage, just ignore this

http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198077902582?time=1418976000 - sold for ~43 after overpay. This hat had been around 40 for more than a year. Then one sale 6 months ago bumped it to 51 and it got priced at 51. Now the FOUR most recent sales for this are at 40 (pure), 40, 42 (pure), 43. I can't find any justification for not accepting this. Can't find any offers that are higher than 43 after overpay.
I'll grant that most of these sales took under 2 weeks and with 1-2 months on the market, this might get 50. If it sells for 50 again, it can get a range of 40-50.
