I looked at that sniper rifle and it has no killstreak on it at all. Maybe it was wiped (why someone would do that, I have no idea). I'd have to believe the trade was done for a pro ks sniper rifle with incinerator effect, which is high, probably top, tier effect. The hat owner said it was worth 40 keys and that is probably correct. I know because I own a pro ks strange festive sniper.

At 40 keys, that's about 3 buds.

The sale 2 I traded the Max for pure and bought with his B/O in keys. The Max wasn't involved.

It seems like the real range is 35 to 38 keys. Since buds are at 13 keys now, that is close to 3 buds. I just recently bought a Miami Nights Cold Killer for 3 buds 2 days ago.

2 Sales At 2, 2.5, 3. Your Sale Is A OutLier.

Rest Now, the purchaser in Sale 2, said he paid 38 keys for his about 2 weeks ago. At current prices, that's roughly 3 buds. That is your "Sale 2". He explained that the Max Head was a separate transaction and wasn't part of the Cold Killer purchase. Seller 2 described 38 keys as a quicksale. In my case, the seller asked for 4 buds but quicksold it to me for 3 buds. That is two recent sales where 3 buds were quicksales. You only cited 3 sales for your price suggestion. I've just provided 2 sales (one of them your Sale 2) where the price paid was 3 buds as a quicksale. You should correct your Sale 2 analysis to reflect 38 keys paid (the bo), and include my purchase at 3 buds, both as quicksales. Then your suggestion would be more credible.

By the way, sale 3 occurred 2 months ago and involved sale of the CK by Radioactivedog to SteppingBeast, at what you claim is 2 buds. However, SteppingBeast then sold that CK to RLND, who THEN sold that same exact CK to Rest Now for 38 keys. That is your Sale 2, which occurred 2 weeks ago. In other words, your Sale 3 precedes Sale 2 by 1.5 months and both sales involve the SAME CK (just at different points in time). You treat Sale 2 and Sale 3 as two separate data points that should be treated equally. That is wrong. It's the same hat being sold 1.5 months apart, reflecting an INCREASE in the price from (what you say is) 2 buds to 38 keys. Your Sale 3 should be eliminated completely from your analysis. The focus should be on Sale 2, which is a far more recent sale of the same exact CK. Sale 2 was at 3 buds. If anything, Sale 3 is the outlier, or more appropriately, the bad data point.

Eliminating Sale 3, and correcting Sale 2 to 38 keys quicksale, and including my purchase at 3 buds quicksale, your data points should be as follows:

Sale 1: 2.5 buds (3 weeks ago)

Sale 2: 38 keys (or roughly 3 buds) (2 weeks ago) (quicksale)

Sale 3: not considered (same hat as Sale 2) (2 months ago)

Sale 4: 3 buds (my purchase 2 days ago) (quicksale)

Based on the above, I would argue the CK non-quicksale price should be over 3 buds. To me, Sale 1 is the outlier. Plus it is older than Sale 2 and Sale 4.

First, 38 keys does not equal 2.5 buds. Buds are 13 keys now. 38/13 equals 2.92 buds. How can 38 keys equal 2.5 buds? Are you valuing buds at 15.2 keys? Why?

Second, you completely ignore that Sale 2 and Sale 4 were quicksales.

Third, I disagree that a sale 2 months ago should be treated equally as sales 2 weeks ago, particularly when it is the same exact hat. Sale 2 and Sale 3 are the same exact Cold Killer, just 2 months apart. You can't treat them as separate data points. If anything, you should disregard Sale 3, which came 1.5 months before Sale 2.

Calling my sale the outlier 2 days ago, and including a sale 2 months ago of the same hat that later sold for 38 keys 2 weeks ago is pretty amusing. Your application of the term "outlier" seems pretty arbitrary to me.
