Pretty new hat and minimal sales and as so i only have one documented sale as proof:

Calculations

*The Spec S. Festive Sniper sells on community market for ~$45 (averaging out recent sales) and considering keys at $2.50 this equates to ~18 keys. Taking off 10% as overpay the value is 16.2 keys.

*Orbiting Fire Old Guad is priced at ~1.1 buds (approx 14.3 keys at the time of the trade). Taking off 10% as overpay the value is 12.9. keys

*The bud being 13 keys at time of trade. Overpay not considered for promos/pure.

Therefore final value of trade is 16.2 + 12.9 + 13 = 42.1 keys. As buds were 13 keys at time of trade (and this value has been used in calculations) I have used 13 keys as bud value in working out the final value of the hat to be 3.2 buds.

I've tried to make this as easy to follow as possible and as always feedback is welcome.

Noice job - only concern is the Guad. Its price is 1.1 (but it was last update 4 months ago) which means that it's technically outdated and requires a mini-suggestion to prove a value for it.

I don't know if it'd make too much of a difference here, but it can't hurt.

Same as any other suggestion - a sale or two for the hat. B/Os are good too, these are a lot more subjective compared to normal suggestions. As long as you prove a reasonable value, it should be fine.

Also, don't be afraid to ask questions - it's all about getting it right, even if it takes a few tries :P

I'm not sure if you should be using a SCM price, then taking store price for keys, wouldn't a more accurate price be 2$ or whatever it is (I'm English, so not sure of USD price on market)

Yea i don't like having to use SCM at all for suggestions but the spec weps very rarely sell on trade sites and seem to be commonly sold on market. And in USD keys have been selling from 2.56 - 2.22 on the market the past few days so not sure what to do with that.

SCM prices are kinda iffy, agreed, and an alternative is to find sales on outpost for the item in question, but we only really need an estimate, and 18 keys sounds about right.

Also, when you're doing SCM based things, the price of keys is what they currently sell for on SCM (because people tend to sell everything for different prices on SCM)

Not really, theres 3 sales and one of which was my own sale for a hat that currently cant be priced and the other (the first sale, when hat was purchased from unboxer) is unable to be found. And i know the guy i baught from wasnt the unboxer.

Eh, since this does need to be priced, and you do have sufficient proof....
