there was about 4x more unsolds but at the time i thought it unnecessary to add them.
How can you tell that this was sold: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24203255 ? I looked at the history of the item, and it stops at the owner's name. It may no longer be in the owner's backpack, but maybe he probably crafted it with another item? Not exactly sure why, but I still don't understand how this is considered to be sold.
Item history isn't always reliable because sometimes it doesn't update who is in possession of an item. If you look at the trader's backpack, you can see that he or she does not have the item.
I know, I stated that it might not be in their their backpack, but they probably deleted or crafted it. Have you tried contacting the owner and told them if they sold it?
Here's the question: if they wanted to delete it or use it as a crafting item, why put it up for trade?
Not sure, but I still don't understand how it's considered sold.
I mean, I can delete a crate from my inventory, but it doesn't mean I sold it to anyone.
If you deleted it from your inventory and didn't list a trade containing that item, then yes you didn't sell it to anyone. Still brings back to the question of why would a person would list an item that has value up for trade and delete it later on?
No, I did not. I can also craft two weapons together to make scrap. The weapons are no longer in my backpack, but it doesn't mean they're sold.
Yet you have not listed the weapons for trade in the first place since you used those weapons to make scrap metal.
I know, so how do you know that the user sold the item?
The point of a trader listing an item to trade is because he or she wants to sell the item. If it's not in their inventory anymore, it's more likely that the item has sold.
I know, I'm just saying how would you know if they sold the item? Like I said, how would you know if they sold it if they didn't craft/delete it?
An outside party won't know, but I'm only repeating what I have already said earlier: if they wanted to delete it or use it as a crafting item, why put it up for trade? If they wanted to delete/craft it, they wouldn't have listed the item.
I guess, I just don't see any proof of the owner selling it.
