He didn't say "He doesn't need to post proof," he was saying he doesn't need to post screenshots. If you check backpack histories you'll see what they sold for. Granted, screenshots never hurt, but what he has now is fine.

And as much as I hate to say it, listen to your elders. If two people with ~150 accepted suggestions tell you that you're wrong and you only have three to your name, you're probably wrong.

Doing that is just extra, providing trade links is sufficient.
