The first one ever sold of its kind, after a month of trading around I finally sold it 1:1 for a showstopper oblooterated
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23955816
taunt needs mini - 6 months old price, plus the taunt price has a range, so it should be 4-5 if anything as you can't say for definite that it is 4.5 flat....
Still an outdated price though
It wouldn't need a range...
The price of the taunt is a range though: It needs to be the same price as the taunt (4-5 not 4.5). The price is outdated anyways.
Which would be 4.5.

"Recently found on the market"
Meaning you bought it...
Meaning it's not the only sale...

I bought it off the market almost a month ago, buying the lowest priced dapper topper at the time that was not something like Nuts n Bolts or smoking.
you need 2 sales to price an unusual that doesnt have a price yet
Not if there is only one recent valid sale, you can't. Not sure if there are other sales though...
Trade happened today so either another sale is needed or they need to wait a month to resuggest with a mini/up to date price for the taunt which would give a flat value, not a range. You can never get a range from one sale. You seem confused on this so I'll explain quickly; when something sells for an item with a range you take the midvalue of the item and apply overpay multiplying that mid point value by 0.9. The only time you don't apply overpay is when the item you're pricing was offered on the other item which just so happen to be the case here so no overpay is needed.

Any hat can be priced based on a single sale if ALL these criteria are met:
- There are no other recent sales in the last 3 months
- The hat went to a collector or person who intends to keep the hat. A collector can be identified by looking at the person's trade history, item history of similar unusuals in the backpack OR if the owner has not resold the hat 1 month after the sale occurred.
Thanks for clear up :)
The taunt price is still 6 mo old though :/
Read what I said again. This is not a case where overpay should be applied since the hat being priced was offered on the taunt.
There is another sale.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23651558 b/o 4 buds for 11 days.
and quicksale here at http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23883775 b/o 50 keys (~3.4 buds at the time of the sale) .
Please do a proper/mini suggestion for the showstopper oblooterated. Judging from the other sale having a b/o of 4 buds for 11 days, 4.5 buds is probably higher than it should be.
On that basis, closing this.
