I've sold a DBD for 10 buds before. It took me less than a day with multiple collecting offers and multiple offers of ~14.

Well, in that case, "he was just unlucky enough". Except I have something else to say.
He did not have the stated price of 9 buds in his notes. He was simply just "looking for offers with a 20 BO". It's not a surprise he did not sell the hat instantly; no one expected him to sell for 9.
