well the trade has only been up for a day and the bptf price hasn't changed in 4 months so it's not being used to drop the value of this item over and over again as the bptf price drops
This is more of a preventative measure. Think about this in terms of the accuracy of the accepted suggestion. For this suggestion for instance, once this suggestion is accepted, if we use such trades as the only proof, there will no longer be any sellers at this suggested price so the accepted price will essentially be an inaccurate representation of the market. As long as the trade is up, it has the potential to be abused and be used over and over again. So we have decided not to allow such trades as the only proof to prevent this from happening.
