why not use buds

In buds the price is messy (1.85714 buds). Was going to round to 1.9 but I figured the price in keys would not require rounding.

you are no collector, you are reselling it

i didn't know this. good to know. i will take it off the market (outpost, etc) and wait a month until i resell it.

now that just sounds like you're manipulating. just close this, sell it, resuggest

if i don't sell it for a month doesn't that qualify me as a collector?

no, the only reason you're taking the trade ad down is so that this suggestion would meet the one sale criteria. you don't even intend to keep it after a month, you still just intend to resell it. this just sounds tantamount to price manipulation

You need two sales to set a price for an unpriced unusual.

If it is a rare hat then I believe a price can be established if there were no other sales in the span of three months.

There was one other, according to the guy I bought it from. He bought it and a bunch of other unusuals in a bulk/overpay deal for his max... I'm not really sure it's a usable sale due to the guy vastly overpaying for the max. In my eyes, this is the only usable sale in 3 months. Would you agree?

I am no expert by any means BUT, If the other sale was in direct conflict with your trade, price-wise, you'd need a third sale to establish which was an outlier. And since the hat is 1 of 1, well, you can see where I'm going with this.

It's really weird to call one sale an outlier and the other not an outlier if there have been two trades, but people often overpay ridiculously for max's. I gathered that this was one of those cases from the previous owner, so it seems that the bulk sale was not really in-line with what this hat would go for normally.

Exactly right, which is why a third sale is usually required to establish a price.

If you do not intend to re-sell this hat in the next few months it would probably be the best to sit it out, wait till the 3-month rule expires and suggest then. (Unless another one is unboxed till then and another sale occurs).

Thanks for the suggestion, but as indicated, this does not meet the criteria for pricing off one sale. We allow suggestions off one sale if there have been no other recent sales AND if it went to a collector. Since you are reselling, it won't meet the criteria. However, if it is still unsold one month from now, you may resuggest. I think 2 buds flat would be a better suggestion here since hats like these tend to trend with buds.
