Because Why The Hell Not, amirite:

Conclusion:
It seems like 14.66 sells very quickly and it's very easy to sell at 15 ref. There are people buying keys at above 15 ref and this should be noted. I included the buyers at 14.66 because no clue it's evidence that they aren't doing very well at the current point in time.

Your buyers of 14.66-14.88 do not support the range that you have posted. Also, some more solds, please
little proof for 15.22
a flat 15 would be better
edit: maybe try to get sales for 15.22?
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/54ca6d73b98d8881148b45ed
This was the one that made 15ref as the high end, they have 2 buyers and about 6 solds. If you have a look at some of my buyers, they're selling (successfully, if I might add) at 15.22 and sometimes higher.
Not sure if we're counting trade.tf mybot buyers/sellers for valid proof, but in any case it's some nice supporting proof.
6 more buyers at 15.22:

And two solds at 15.11: http://puu.sh/fs2DV.png
Ed: Downvotes for providing supporting. Thanks bp.tf udabes
Thanks! :)
I'll add that in now.
lol who downvoted you?
bp.tf is stoopid sometimes
Well, in a way the prices stay the same.
If you think about it, the key price goes up and the earbuds go down, but are still kinda worth the same in refined metal (not in refined value wise, but in amount of refined).
Earbuds are a promotional item, like the Bill's Hat. Earbuds are only used as a 'currency' because there are less of them. If the Tux was finally tradeable, that could replace or run along side earbuds.
No one has to listen to the backpack.tf prices, this is just a "price guide" and "does not set the prices in stone".
Exactly. People treat backpack.tf as if it's some wrecking ball to the economy when this site is actually following the sales not forcing them. However if this is to represent the key price at 15.00-15.22 ref, shouldn't you provide some more proof for above 15 ref to signify that some people are paying above 15.22 but the majority lies in your range? Because it looks like it's really 15 ref is the settled price by your proof.
Very little proof for a key suggestion, especially for the range you're suggesting. Classifieds are full of 15 ref sellers, and I have no trouble getting them at 15 either.
Downvote.
Yes.
You get them at 15 ref.
This is currently a quicksell/buy price.
I really don't want to have to have this argument again...
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/54c20475b98d88cd648b4a4a Just look at this conversation, if we continue this it'll end up the same way.
Also, this is fine for a currency suggestion.
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/54ca6d73b98d8881148b45ed < Look how much proof they had at their top range.
That suggestion was also bad in that case. One mistake doesn't justify another. Please read the other comments, and improve your suggestion with more proof.
But 15 is included in the price range. Also, classifieds are not full of 15 ref sellers.
People are buying for less than 15 ref (as the majority of the trade offers you have here) only a few interested in more than 15 but yet you propose more than current value. Sorry but not much proof and so little evidence doesnt represents the real trade. Downvote
I agree with the range, but I'm sure you could find more solds at 15+.
Also, one of your 15.22 buyers isn't buying anymore - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24553868
And one is actually buying for 15.11, not 15.22 - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23988919
The buyer is buying at 15.22, not 15.11, look again. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23988919
well, there is problem to even buy them for 15 refs. its realy quickselling, so i guess it shouldnt be in range. just need to add some proof.
I buy for 15,11 !! :)
I wanna say that i think that the fakt that the keys wen up sooo much and the bills and the buds went down so much is something that made me quit tf2 trading
I think that it destoyed what it one was. When I started playing this game there were soooooooo many trdae servers that were full all the time and keys were only worth like 2.66 Ref. And everyone wanned to have a buf because it was 29-32 Keys and i think that the demand of the bud went down so much because its so cheap now and i played tf2 when the strange scattergun was 3 keys too like when i headr that keys whent up to 4.66 after a break for 1 year and after that it rocketed up into the sky
one Ref was 82 cents its so incredible and after i stoped trading witch was one of the most interistinga nd fun things in this game. I dont even think that not-traders will even read this and the fact that u can CRAFT 5 HATS with only ONE KEY is so mindblowing. enyway i dont think that i will archive something with this but maybe someone is going to responde :3
ps everone is buying keys for more than 15 ref because ref is going down witch causes the ref to go down more. and its not like i have alot of ref uk :v
If people weren't greedy and flip keys, the economy would probably be doing fine. Here is my thought on everything that is happening so far.
Let's say person 1 is buying and selling keys for 14.66 and 15,33 respectively. Let's say that he eventually does find a few buyers. If he does find a few buyers and is successful in making profit, other people will follow suit. Soon enough, everyone is selling for his price. However, that means that in order to make more money, he needs to ramp up his price to keep up with current rates from other sellers that ramp up their prices in order to keep up themselves. This is because soon enough, since people are sheep and follow in suit of backpack.tf and outpost, no one will sell their keys at a lower price, and it will be impossible to buy a key at that lower price since everyone moved on to the new price. The justification that there is too much metal in the economy is not viable, just go to backpack.tf and you will see how much metal and keys are in the system (you can create a ratio). This ratio is almost 1 million keys to a bit more than 2 million refined. Do you guys honestly want no more key "inflation"? Just create a separate trading group, one that pulls in money from the outside, and sells all currency at a flat rate on the inside of the group, and people inside that group that buy the currency are not allowed to sell the currency for the inflated backpack.tf prices, or higher than what they payed for them.
Please read before you down vote or up vote or send me an admin warning. It is a relevant statement to what people are doing in the economy.
How is this different to real life?
TF2:
Recommended prices are given via sites like backpack.tf.
http://i.imgur.com/WA341k6.png
Real Life:
Shops listen and follow the RRP/SRP, sometimes selling below and higher than it.

15.22 buyer that you don't have in your evidence
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24943760
Have fun ruining the tf2 economy
Thanks. I shall. :)
BTW; a ruined economy is an economy where prices never change, an economy that has no cash flow. TF2s economy isn't dying, it's fluctuating. It goes up and down, like the stock market.
Four have been sold on here for less than 4 ref today ;D
People were listing them on backpack for 2.33 / 2.66 they would not add people to sell them. People commented on their profile that they were adding them to buy the key. Conclusion Key price trolling/manipulation.
Good proof upvote, but can you add some more solds?
