I don't think the inevitability is the question here. It's the intent. If hey bby girl <3 had their hat drop because someone just happened to gather the data, I'm sure they wouldn't have minded nearly as much as they do now, because their hat was dropped with malicious intent, which isn't cool.

why do people call hats "cancer"?
For some odd reason, the tf2 community basically use cancer as a degrading word on unusuals. Unusuals that they think are bad tier, low tier, crap, w /e u call it.
Cancer the illness and cancer the bad hat are unrelated. They're both derived from a latin word meaning 'hard to remove'.
People are just meat-headed and don't actually understand language.
That's not true at all, the word comes from the Greek name for crabs. o.O And obviously people in the community use it in relation to the disease, don't be absurd.

People who are use it that way are using it wrong. We need to educate the masses instead of accepting that they've borked the language and getting cross at people using it properly.
No it doesn't. They used to refer cancer as "karkinos" the Greek word for crab, since the tumor reminded them of crabs shell etc.

Giang dropped / tried to drop like 5 of my hats in a week once after a little disagreement on some pricing issues, and people seemed to think it was fine as long as the proof was accurate.
In my opinion that's not fine, that's pathetic relying on suggestions to take revenge out on others.

I feel like the upper case 'C' used in "cancer" was incorrect.
