The Team Fortress 2 Trading Community is being destroyed since the price of this wonderful item is dropping and ruining the economy! And there is no reason for them to be dropping other than ourselves! The supply isn't dropping & the demand is not lowering! That is why I think we should put it up a bit just to keep the economy going and not watch it crumble into pieces, as it is doing at the moment....

This is my last post before I might beg myself to get banned because I hate controlling my urges to just tell people their f******* retarded.
There is no down fall in the economy, in a more optimistic idea, the buds we thought would be 20 keys as a steady price, will now be a steady 10 keys, a bit of a turn but it will probably be the new base for the time being, but that is just me. The economy is not crashing, if it was you are damn well part of it's down fall for trading in the first place.

I think you need to take Econ 101. Supply and demand, inflation... pretty basic stuff.

Yes, I did. It's true that the supply and demands of the key are, generally speaking, proportionally more or less the same as it was a few years ago. But it's the price of metal that fluctuates and raises the key.
The key is only directly linked to real world currency- its relationship with metal may fluctuate. Metal, however, is a limitless resource. Weapons may drop, which can be turned into scrap, but keys may only be bought from the store. (Ones from the market were still purchased originally from the store.) Though the supply of metal rises with the amount of players playing, the amount of keys purchased does not rise at the same rate.

Maybe this isn't quite relevant but I really do think this should be upvoted. Buds shouldn't be going down,at least not at much as they have been. Keys are completely inflated right now, but that shouldn't change the price of buds by THIS much. Buds need to start rising again, and keys need to start losing value.
I would like to say however, that keys SHOULD be more than they used to be. Metal is in abundance whereas keys need to be bought. Though I do think keys should be higher than they used to be, the price that they are right now it waaaay too much for a stable economy.
