All of the green confetti HKC's are selling for 12 buds on outpost. I bought my green confetti HKC for 11.5 buds mixed. I paid a cauldron bubble modest (9 buds) and 2.5 buds pure, which equals 11.5 buds. Proof is here with my last comment on the sellers thread. As you can see I typoed with 2.5 keys--but I clearly meant 2.5 buds with my cauldron bubble modest: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24937271

I can only speak with my direct experience with selling this hat and seeing what others are going for on OP. The selling price for g'fetti HKC on outpost is 12 buds. And people are paying it. This is not just me it is others are paying 12 buds as well. This is evident in the history. This is why the price needs to be updated.

    Purple confetti>green confetti.

    Can't make a range with 1 sale.

But you sold it for 11.5, you didn't apply overpay, and again, you can't make a range with 1 sale.

I guess this is the proof of this trade taking place. I dont think you should call this '2.5 buds pure', but in value its correct.

Although, as suggested before, you can upload a screenshot of your trade

Go to your profile > inventory > trade offers > show trade history

take a screenshot that shows the trade and upload it anywhere (e.g. imgur).

For the rest, the bubbles modest is 7 months outdated, youll need a mini on it, and youll need to apply overpay on everything that isn't pure currency.

      Hope this helps!

P.S. looking at its history, there has occurred another sale about a month ago, which is still valid as well

The modest was being sold at the suggested bp.tf price. Which is what most people do. overpay was clearly not necessary with my trade for the HKC, as he preferred the effect and the hat. There are too many variables in trade. Personal preference of hat/effect. Going on price history on bp.tf and OP.

the hat you're pricing was not the offered hat, so you NEED to apply overpay regardless of whether he liked your hat/effect, its in the pricing rules to display values properly (since 99% of all traders prefer pure over ANY unusual). thus, since you list a price in currency, you'll need to give an idea of how much currency you can get for it.

"was being sold at suggested price", did it sell for that price any recently? if so - include the sale with proof of it happening as a mini on the hat (so that you show the modest still has demand at the value that has been decided on 7 months ago)

The screen you uploaded further down is good. for future reference, use that method to prove your sales happened.

          Again, hope it helps!

It's up to the owner to apply overpay. The hat I am pricing and what he wanted for it and what I bought it for proves worth of both hats in regards to buyer and seller. In other words he wanted 11.5-12 buds for his g'fetti HKC and i offered my cauldron bubble modest with overpay to get to his base price and he took it. I am not trying to prove the value of the modest, but the value of the HKC in what I paid for it: 11.5 buds. The current offers on the G'fetti HKCs give an idea of what others think they are worth (in offering 11-12 buds hats).

Im sorry, but that's not how price suggestions work. According to this logic, I can buy an unusual hat (that currently has a low price of which I already own 4) for 30 buds and then claim its worth 30 buds because it sold for that, drastically raising my backpacks value.

If you're suggesting he was specifically looking for the hat you traded, youre actually insinuating that he was willing to pay you more than your hat is worth, which could ultimately make this whole trade an outlier.

Regardless of all of the above, you'll still need to make a minisuggestion to prove your bubbles hat's value (you cannot rise this price based on your trade and then use this increased price to price your bubbles hat)

That is not what I meant at all...I didn't claim that he was looking specifically for my hat. I made an offer and he accepted. This is how it works. I knew his hat was worth more than mine (as he was asking for 11.5-12 buds) This is why I offered him what he asked for 11.5-12 buds. HE accepted. This means that I offered him more than what my hat was worth with the 2.5 bud overpay. To reach his 11.5-12 bud value on the HKC.

My Cauldron Bubble Modest has a suggested value of 9 buds. This is what I based my offer on for the HKC. I then added 2.5 buds to trade for the HKC. I was the one who needed to pay more to meet his 11.5-12 bud demand.

If people are offering on/trading on for more than the suggested value of a hat. Then this should reflect in the updated price. i.e, i paid his 11.5-12 bud value.. (as have others on other HKC g'fetti sales)

I understand what you're saying. I understand what you took your values from, but his B/O value of the cone doesnt make that a reliable way to determine EITHER the cone OR the bubbles modest. If I sell a hat thats worth 5 buds with a B/O of 20, that doesnt mean the hat I get in return for it is suddenly worth 20 buds as well.

Just using exaggerated examples to show why this reasoning cannot be used to price hats.

It goes without saying that if enough people purchase a product (in this case a hat) for above the suggested price, then the price is acceptable and should be updated. In other words, if x-hat continually sells for 12 buds (which originally sold for 8 buds). This proves that people value the hat much higher and are willing to pay more for it.

Why yes. This is why you should provide several sales at a higher price to raise its price, and not use one trade with an outdated hat in it.

purple effects > green effects :^)

See above answer...I am not saying G'fetti should sell for 16 buds. I am merely suggesting that G'fetti being a kissing cousin of the purple 'fetti should be worth more than 9.5 buds on the high end: being that it has sold and is being sold for 12 buds.

          1) Range with one sale, can't do that.

          2) Your comment says modest and 2.5 keys, not buds. Provide a screenshot of your trade history of the trade as proof.

          3) Cauldron Bubbles Modest is 7 months outdated and needs a mini.

Clearly the person selling their HKC g'fetti that I bought. Wouldn't accept a Cauldron Bubble modest and 2.5 keys. Clearly, I meant buds. I have a SS of the trade, however I cannot upload the photo here. (no place to do so) Also there have been many sales with the HKC (not just with my history) but others have been selling theirs for 12 buds on OP, as well. It's in the history of sales.

Imgur works. Either way as said, cant have a range with one sale, and your sale is invalid unless your provide a mini for the Modest since it's outdated.

Again, not talking about one sale.. IT's about ALL sales of the G'fetti HKC collectively on OP. They have been selling for 12 buds NOT just by me. LOOK at history of sales on EACH HKC on OP.

Which you provide no proof of what they sold. If you have no proof, then no upvote. If you have no mini on the Modest since it's far to outdated to use as valid proof, then no upvote. Simple as that.

COUSIN? Cousin effect? So, a Scorching Team Captain should be priced at 550 buds too? No, it shouldn't. Not unless someone pays that.

Let's take purple 'fetti off the table then, and look at g'fetti HKC as it's own entity and what it has sold for on outpost, including what i paid.

Liaz: look at cost of g'fettis on outpost. Everyone goes by tf2.bible until it is updated. Hence this conversation as well...I have screenshot of my trade but not sure how to Upload

First off, it's not a fucking bible. You should just leave(Me being nice) if you gonna refer to this website as a fucking bible. If you don't like it, don't use it. Second, if you're gonna go around taking people's BUYOUTS, which is set by THEM, THE PERSON SELLING, then you're just dumb. Anyone can make their B/O's 912873465984705987605230876 buds. Does that mean it's worth that? No it doesn't. Best of all, this doesn't even need to be updated. It's still a valid price, you're just mad because you overpaid.

Merndy: Not sure what you are referring to at all...I am telling you I have paid 11.5 buds for the g'fetti HKC. And the others on OP are selling for that much (see history of sales). When I say COUSIN i mean same effect DIFFERENT color...

watch and learn kids. this is how to fail at creating suggestions. B)

              useless comment.

No, it's actually very valid. You clearly have no idea how to make a suggestion and you're disliking every opinion that disagrees with your own... just leave.

Actually. Foamy is giving great advice. I am disliking people that are making useless comments like cousins based on color, and making rude comments. If you don't agree with my price suggestion or this thread, perhaps you should be the one to leave, as this is an open forum to make price suggestions.

Yes, you are allowed to make a suggestion on the site. However, at the same time people are allowed to have opinions on your suggestion. And it just so happens that the majority of opinions, including mine, find this suggestion to be severely lacking. How's that for being 'open'?

That's fine. But since you say suggestions are allowed. You shouldn't suggest someone to leave. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, as is everyone, as am I.

And I shouldn't suggest that you leave. But since you seem to have stated how you feel. Perhaps, that is all you have to say.
