http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25506125 - aussie sniper rifle, 36 keys after overpay
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24901207 - duped sunbeams big country, 46 * 0.9 = 41 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24980526 - duped beams big country sold for g. fetti fro + stormy hot rod + 14 keys
18 + 18 * 0.9 = 32 + 14 = 46 keys
The duped one wasn't duped at the time of sale (I would know, I checked what the person I bought my beams big country from paid for it before I bought it) and it sold for more than the clean one. In this case pricing off a dupe should be fine.
here's the backpack histories for those wondering about the still-open trade with non-updated history.

also:
not sure how i feel about applying overpay to the sniper. quoting the guidelines:
'An aussie rocket launcher is listed at 67-70. If someone lists one at 66 keys, it sells incredibly fast - http://www.tf2outpos.../trade/24981348. 10% overpay on 67-70 is 61.6 keys. Valuing an aussie rocket launcher at 61.5 keys pure would be an unfair evaluation of its pure value. Does this mean that no overpay should be applied? No, because aussie rocket launchers are taking a week to sell at 68 keys pure, so it cannot be considered a direct equivalent of pure. Valuing it at ~66-67 (low end of the current range is probably the closest approximation of its pure value)'
obviously not 100% true of the sniper, in as much as there are sellers at 37-39 anyway, but still. the listed price is 40 keys. 36 keys is possibly slightly harsh in terms of a pure value obtainable in 1-2 days, which is what polar refers to in the guidelines.
just food for thought really, it won't make a massive difference here and the rest of the proof is solid.
oh also if i learned anything from this: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/55156ba5b88d881e518b4803 it's that people love to cause a huge shitstorm if you don't credit the previous suggester when you counter and use anything they wrote, even if they did it wrong.
psh, screw giving credit to people, if you suggest wrong and people point it out and you're too slow to resuggest before someone else, you don't deserve credit
agreed. let the others do the dirty job and take all credit for it. :)
now you're getting it!
It's not like I just applied overpay to his sale and resuggested, I found a whole other sale for the hat and did a mini for that sale. Him not applying mini aside, the suggestion was invalid since it only had one sale and was setting a new price.
im actually serious here, idc if people give credit or not, if you're resuggestion/countering something, you're likely to be doing the same amount as/maybe even more than a normal suggestion, if someone isn't prepared to do enough work to get the suggestion passed, why should they get any credit?
