Yes, I am the owner of one, but hear me out (oh god, please don't crucify me).
I was the one who bought this hat 1:1 with the Cauldron Bubbles Le Party Phantom and the sale which was used as the basis of the previous price suggestion linked below:
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/55114bb7b98d889a218b4f9a
The suggestion makes sense, but bp.tf has since made new prices in keys according to the time the price suggestions were made in order to account for the massive drop in value for Earbuds. Since the suggestion for this hat was made 10 days ago at the time of writing, bp.tf automatically made the new price in keys in accordance to how much keys were 10 days ago (10 Keys per Bud). However, I bought this hat for what the Cauldron Bubbles Le Party Phantom was worth in Buds when this price suggestion was made:
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/54c41f8ab88d8820498b4ea1
This price suggestion is also what the previously linked price suggestion based their prices on.
So following the same calculations from the previous price suggestion:
Average of the price range for the Le Party Phantom = (91 + 98)/2 = 94.5 Keys
94.5 x 0.9 = 85.05 = 85 Keys
Therefore, I think the price should be raised to 85 Keys for this hat. Yes, go ahead and accuse me for trying to manipulate the prices in my favor, but I believe this hat's value (and myself) was shafted for no good reason because of unfortunate price suggestion timing and automated calculations.
This is my first price suggestion, so please feel free to leave your thoughts and constructive criticism in the comments.
Sorry, but the conversion system is off with many unusuals since the change from buds to keys only. Odds are the Cauldron Bubbles Phantom is inflated as well since the suggestion was 2 months ago and buds were far higher priced during then. You'll need to provide a mini on the Phantom to show it's worth 91-98.
That would be rather difficult considering the last sale was when I sold it for this hat :/
Well, that's how it is. Pretty much 95+% of all unusual prices are incorrect currently due to the change in the system pricings.
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/551dcd49b88d88dc0b8b458f For example, shows how inflated key prices are for unusuals. I recently got the proof to fix this one and gave it to a friend to suggest.
Basically the conversion takes the price of buds at the time of the suggestion and then switches it back to that, so if buds were 16 keys at the time, and an unusual got priced at 2 buds at the time, it'll be 32 keys, when realistically ones on market were selling with 20 key B/Os.
There's alot of fixing to do with the system, but you'll have to prove it's worth that much unfortunately. Can always just try selling your unusuals for 85 keys pure, then re-suggest at that after you sell it.
I see, that makes sense. I just thought since the previous price suggestion was only 10 days ago, I could use the same proof in the previous suggestion as the basis for this one.
the ones that aren't inflated were the ones already priced in keys right
Yeah basically. Any suggested in keys is fine, but anything bud-wise is off, some being stupidly off. Like if any were priced when buds were 17 for that short bit in January is gonna be totally off compared to sellers from a month ago and such.
Should we go in to recent suggestions and change the sales to reflect key values?
Dont really know, might have to make a general thread about the new system with regular suggestors to discuss the whole thing.
I know some suggestions still up that got converted with the system seem a tad low, such as http://backpack.tf/vote/id/55189380b88d88ea2a8b4c4b
48 keys for a fairly popular all-class Blizzard is kinda cheap.
It's all a big mess right now.
We already addressed the issues in two separate threads:
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/33455-the-new-update-and-what-it-means-for-unusual-suggestions/
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/33473-guide-to-get-reliable-prices-for-unusuals-from-outdated-bptf-prices/
Almost all suggestions made in the last 2 months are roughly accurate. Any suggestion >2 months old is grossly inflated. We warned against using that in the first link. Second link shows how traders SHOULD figure out values. But that can't really be used for suggestions. We'll just need to slowly update.
We'll probably need to leave this up for 2 weeks to see if a phantom sells and price that before pricing this.
But wouldn't the Cauldron Bubbles Le Party Phantom price still be valid due to the price being updated roughly 2 months ago which would fit within the time frame?
It was updated Jan 24. Anything older than Feb 3 when buds dropped to 13 keys is going to be inflated.
i almost insta downvoted just by the front text :<
I think the price is going to be skewed no matter what, but I prefer this suggestion to mine. That's pretty much all I can say, as I've been mostly inactive since the update, and can't confirm/deny that this is actually a valid fix. Your purchase was within the past 2 months, which makes it eligible to be re-priced, but no clear-cut mini for the Phantom seems possible. I'll upvote, but the mods probably have more informative feedback for you than I do.
Well, no Cauldron Bubbles Phantoms have sold in the past 2 weeks. As a result, the best way I can think of to evaluate the Phantom is to check offers.

^ Was willing to sell for an Aussie RL and a bud around a month ago, which would be ~65-70 keys at the time. It's not what I would consider definitive proof, but it seems to me that my price is closer.
Left this up to see if we could get some other sales on either hat... We can't. This will have to do.
