TF2 is a game with an economy, just because you can't afford to enter the economy doesn't mean you can't play TF2.

He can play TF2, but certainly not come here and think backpack.tf decides of the price, when this site actually takes note of what people are ready to pay for the item. Those guys who don't understand anything and call us "dumb" and "bitches" are getting on our nerves, hence Akame's comment.

This guy is actually pretty right. It is above and beyond ridiculous how keys went from 2.55 refined to 20 refined in a matter of 2-3 years. That makes no sense. Are you guys trying to make a virtual hyperinflation just like Germany after the first world war? That's pathetic.
The reason your so called "economy" went to shit was because of all the sharks trying to make profit out of every single thing, and a big group of TF2 players eventually agreeing on these prices.
The problem is that you guys just don't want to get a stable "economy", because "hurr durr my profits, show proof first plz".
Seriously, the fact that keys have gone up to 20 refined metals doesn't make any shitting sense. The proportions are way out of balance.
You do realize backpack.tf doesn't decide ANYTHING right? You do realize that backpack.tf is a kind of watcher, who notices the trend in the markets and writes down accurate prices according to what people are ready to pay, right? People, the markets, buyers and sellers, supply and demand, are responsible for key rise, not backpack.tf . Keys are going up because refs are going down, due to them being kind of "useless" compared to many years ago, when they were used to craft hats. Now that craft hats are worth 1.33 and it costs 3 ref to craft a random one, no one does that anymore. So people don't care about refs. So people pay less for them. Now, a ref is worth around 10 cents, when keys stay roughly the same, which explains why keys are converted into more refs than before.
Go on the key item page, and look at July 2014. See that decrease, which as about ~15%? It was due to the bread box, that people could craft for 3 ref, and possibly get a lot of profit from that. So people wanted refs. So refs went up, and keys went down. By 1 ref, but since keys were only 8.55 ref at that time, that represents a great percentage of decrease.
The only way keys go down now is that Valve actually does something to reverse the trends, as they did, probably not purposedly, with the Bread Box.
