Sold for 120 keys pure

Buds: 11-11.5 keys at the time, rounding to 11.25 buds or 112.5 keys now

This was the tower I bought.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25532079

Sold for 43 keys + Duped Beams Snaggle + Burning Western wear + 2 keys worth of taunts, misc

43 + 40 + 45 + 2 = 130 keys

That was my trade, buyer was quickselling unusuals after buying a few others from a marked scammer so possible outlier.

Burning Western Wear mini? : Offers after only 2 days

Trade offer of 40 keys - still valid

Orbiting Fire western wear + Aussie Frontier Justice + Aussie Blutsauger + Aussie Flamethrower (15 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 45 keys)

In the days before I sold the tower I was offered:

Duped Beams Tyrants + 5 keys = 120-125 keys

Purple Energy Defiant Spartan + Scorching Flames Snaggle + Prof KS SF Rocket Launcher - If i added 5-7keys,

45 + 48 + 23 - 6 = 110 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24674807

Unsold, 2 month old trade with B/O of 10 Pure.

Highest offer was 90 keys.

http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Unusual%20Towering%20Pillar%20of%20Hats

1 clean tower sold on the market for $287

Seller would have received roughly 100 keys

Other presumably clean tower on market for $266

Has been unsold for around 2-3 months, seller would receive 92 keys. - Highly this tower is the result of a scam (owner hasn't played tf2 before)

I haven't done a price suggestion in 2 years so I apologise if I haven't followed all the rules. Also I don't have bp.tf premium so I haven't been able to find the other tower that was sold in the past month but I feel it should be enough to provide a closer estimate to the hat's value in comparison to its absurd current price of 191 keys.

Personally it was quite difficult to gather offers on Outpost for this hat given it was 1st gen in all aspects. Received only 4 offer in 5-6 weeks before resorting to trade servers.

The tower you sold is duped.

    http://backpack.tf/item/195091069

Or I went trough the others aswell first two sales are of this hat witch is duped: http://backpack.tf/item/195091069

the one With b/o of 10 is duped: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24674807 (check history)

and i dont think you can lower a unusual price on duped sales and market sales alone

(btw how do you know that it was schorching Tower that was sold for 287? couldnt figure that out :D )

I watched the market quite closely, I'll also add the other tower which belonged to a guy called Primary soldier and was also clean sold for 267.

alright thanks, but if u look here under "what does not Count as evidence" it says that you shouldnt use the market as evidence: http://backpack.tf/help/suggestions

Yeah sorry, its a bit late now but I haven't done a suggestion in years let alone this being my first unusual suggestion. I was just trying to collect as much evidence as possible but yeah i understand why it wouldn't be as accurate.

you need a mini for the beams snaggle

        same with the western wear

Sure, but he already ruled as an outlier already.

Whats a mini? If you could explain it to me, i'll add it i guess. *I only sold the tower 2 days ago so no offers on the snaggle but I do have 2 on the western wear

For outdated prices (3+ months old), a mini suggestion is needed. A recent sale would do. Just to reevaluate it. If you can't find any sales (you should be able to though, cuz both western and snaggle are common) you can use offers and current prices. This also applies to duped hats. If the price is up to date, (rememeber the prices here reflect clean unusual hats), but a duped hat was included, find a recent sale for the same duped hat.

And Blue Toyota, I'm not sure it's an outlier and you can't really claim that without knowing the true value of the sale, since the total value he wrote is incorrect (prices are too old). For example, the current price of the western wear is 68-70 keys, but people are selling this hat for 50-60 keys. Therefore, the total value of the sale is most probably lower than 130 keys, and it might not be an outlier.

I couldn't find any sales for either hats, there are only 3 - 4 on the market at the moment. I only completed the trade 2 days ago too so I've added a "mini" compiled of the offers I have received for the Western wear. There haven't been any new offers on the snaggle that i know of - including the other 2 trades.

Just go back through the history (basically the outpost pages of the owners) of your western, not that hard to find sales. This is a possible sale, but it might not be all of it. You must check if anything else was added, I just gave you the simple start.

                  http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,3603089576,379,5

http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,3602727961,30037,5 - both of these went from -UT- Dat Niff to Swagface

http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,3608161520,779,5 - the other way around

The stove and the western were traded in a possible 2:1 for a spellbound lid. Check the backpacks histories to find out if any sweets were added. (The lid's price is up to date, so that's good. The stove price is old unfortunately, so to quickly reevaluate it you can use a few notable offers and prices from outpost if you want, otherwise just find another sale if you want.)

no reason why it should be an outlier since it's so close to his current high end, and how can it be an outlier when it is not the proper representation of the price of the hats involved yet

The two hats are duped and I probably could take a safe assumption it would fall neatly into the range.

                  Western wear is clean.

New mini for Burning Western wear, sold it for Aussie Flame thrower and 32 keys. 16+32 = 48 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25357689 Was offered a houwar and declined

He bought a burning tower with it so your Comment is invalid. Declining one trade doesn't increase the value of a hat, its subjective. Looking at your other C/Os it's quite obvious what the tower is worth.

Clean Burning tower sold for Houwar 1:1; all the more reason why the scorching tower should be re priced.

The price of the Burning tower has corrected itself (price suggestion only needed 2 solds), logically its time the scorching tower followed. (The 2 scorching towers in the classifieds have sat there untouched for a month)

I cannot agree with you, there's no relation between a burning effect and his scorching counterpart, look at the deep cover operator, they have been offered different ranges, and you shouldn't base one's price on the other.

+ You've got quite a bit of duped sales. ( almost all of 'm )

History has dictated that the scorching tower was roughly 30 or so keys less valuable than its burning counterpart,

I simply don't see why a minor bud-key conversion bug should result in the scorching tower to be 50 keys more than the burning tower. Like I said, one guy declining 99% of offers and waiting for the 1% from a desperate buyer shouldn't dictate the value of a hat. If we wait for him, this hat will continue to exist at its over-inflated price - a few dupe sales shouldn't mean I'm undervaluing the hat by 80 keys.

Its simple math, were buds 18 keys prior to the crash? No they were 11, hence there is no reason why the scorching tower should be 190 keys. It isn't my problem if you want to let a guy who has nothing to lose from a bud to key conversion bug dictate the prices, i'm just doing a favour.

But can you change a minorly wrong price with even worse suggestions? You're using SCM, not allowed. Using dupes, not allowed, unless they're the only ones on the market, and you're even stating offers that are completly useless to the suggestion.

I don't see how a 60-80 key difference is a minorly wrong price. I'll mention that 2 scorching clean towers have sold on the Market for 267 and 287 respectively. 267 credited to this guy http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198065932416 strangely enough which sold little over a week ago. If you think my suggestions are 'even worse' than inflation I honestly don't know what all this effort was for.

Get the proof for the SCM sales then, a "i was examining the market" isn't enough, and as said in the rules, SCM sales are not precise at all.

this is too low, viking just sold his here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25357689 for a beams company man

which looks like it sold for everything here minus the bud ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24777478 ) (126+90*0.9=194+63=257)

the suggested price is off, it's just a matter of determining what the right price should be at this point

This does need an update, but it needs to be based on clean sales. Your only clean sale comes from the one on SCM for which we have no proof of hat, effect, or whether it was clean.
