He could not have done another trade in the meanwhile? say within few seconds? May be accepted a few trade offers? May be deposited stuff somewhere with some bot? or is backpack.tf so efficient that it updates the backpack every second? Just curious to know.
Well that can happen but it can be minimized if we look at both the seller's and the buyer's backpack. In this case, the buyer's backpack did show that 127 keys + Strange Professional Killstreak Diamond Botkiller Stickybomb Launcher Mk.I were traded.

Indeed but again my question still remains. The remnants of the backpack shown are 24 hours apart. How can you be so sure that no other trade was made in that 24 hours? It is quite possible that money was involved? a very old market set up perhaps?
In this case may be the hat was given to a known who paid the rest in paypal? or some other form of payment? May be steam game gifts? or a friend who paid slowly?
PS: I do not trade anymore so I have no interest in value of the hat, but this practice seems dodgy without an actual screenshot of the trade history.
dude your arguing over something so minuscule that no one can track, its close enough, its more spam then it a legitimate conversation at this point. Edit: about your edit i dont like people who have no idea how suggestions work that comment and think they know how they work, but thats just me
Right now it seems minuscule but it can readily convert into something that will be practised quite often.
Whoever bought this hat may be or may be not on this website but your minuscule thing is costing him 18 keys.
You have to keep in mind that backpack.tf suggestions are just estimations of what these unusuals have been sold for and it relies solely on the input of the community. If there is any inaccuracy in these suggestions, the buyer or the seller are free to come forth with proof of the actual content of the sale and create a counter suggestion.
If there is really such a huge discrepancy between the sale and the suggestion, quite commonly you will see the buyer or the seller creating another suggestion to fix the price. So your concern about how unusuals are priced on this site is pretty much addressed.
